Great location, a few bumps in our stay
LOCATION was great, right on the water in Grand Case, steps form a nice, roomy beach. Good snorkeling right in front of the house. On restaurant row so the food and drink is amazing everywhere. Close to Orient Beach and that was fun. Shopping and dining in Marigot was great, prices were actually decent. Buy beer and wine and alcohol at the little stores in Grand Case, they sell it cheap and one dollar = one euro!!! (This does not apply at restaurants). Best restaurants were Grand Case Beach Club for breakfast, Ocean 82, Le Cottage, La Villa, and a few others were great. SPECIFICS: The bumps started immediately when the person who was supposed to meet us to take us to the property never showed up to the airport or the rental car place. The Manager I was in touch with was great, although I give him only 3 stars because he told us the address was 142 when it was actually 42. After some searching and a laugh we found the house. The house is quaint and cute, nice kitchen and comfy living room. The bedrooms were dated but nice. We did have issues with pillows and sheets and one pillow that was covered in disgusting stains was on a bed and did not have a pillow case on it. Once I sent a photo of the pillow to the property manager he jumped on it and sent cleaners over, who did a great job. After that, no issues at all. The listing needs better photos as it does not explain you cannot sit on the beach in front of the house and the house is actually part of a "duplex" and the other house is only feet away. The other house has rabbits and tortises which you can watch, kinda cool. The old bar next door was destroyed and never rebuilt. Shopping at the little shops was fun.

Beautiful property in fantastic area
Gorgeous property. Three big bedrooms, spacious living room, and a full kitchen. And that patio! No matter where we were on the island on any given day, we always arrainged to be back on the patio for sunset. All of Grand Case is within easy walking distance. Many, many restaruants choices. There were also a couple boulangeries (french bakeries) within walking distance for a pastry and a cup of coffee in the morning. We would return to this property without hesitation.

Great place!
It has been 7 amazing days to begin the new year with my family. The house is perfectly located (restaurant, store, water activities...) and has a spacious deck in front of the sea: a perfect spot to have breakfast and start the day. I highly recommend this property!

Very nice house in Grand Case, make sure TV and WIFI are working before staff leaves!
Second time we have rented this house and it is a fabulous location! Be prepared for LOUD, live music next door - we love Calmos Café - on Thursday and Sunday nights. Being able to walk to all the wonderful Grand Case resturaunts is the best. WiFi did not work entire stay and staff not very helpful with that problem, so check it before they leave on check in day. Bath in king size room is very basic and needs shower handle holder repaired. Home is very clean. Will probably rent again unless we try another apartment in Grand Case.

Very nice place.
This place was just as advertised. The air conditioning worked great and there was plenty of room for all of us. You can walk to all the restaurants in grand case. It is right on the beach and has a great patio. It also has a washer and dryer if you need to wash anything. We didn't use it but if you needed it it would be nice. The owner left us some bottled water which was really nice. Full kitchen and full fridge in case you want to cook. Rikki was kind enough to come to the airport to show us the way. But it is in the heart of grand case so it was easy to find. Calmos Cafe is right next door and I think it was probably fortunate that they were closed all week since it may have been noisy at night if they were open. But the house was very quiet for us since they were closed. We went in the off season (early October) and only a handful of restaurants were open. But still plenty of choices. Don't go Zen'it Beach Bar and Restaurant to eat, drink or rent chairs as they were rude there. Instead walk a few more steps to L'Soliel where they give you a free chair if you buy a drink. Try the lemon ice. Excellent! Also try Octopus Diving, only a short walk, if you want to Scuba. Very nice staff. This place to stay is well worth the price. I highly recommend it. We had a blast.

The perfect and cozy cottage at the best location on Grand Case Beach
It was our first time at the French side in St Maarten and using VRBO as well. We had an amazing time! Everything was as we had seen and expected in the pictures. The balcony is literally on top of the sand and eliminated the need to spend money anywhere else in the restaurants around. The sunset views were gorgeous. The house has everything and anything from the kitchen appliances to the Wi-Fi code. We did not miss any Europian soccer game while there and that was Very important for my dad. The home gets cleaned once a week and we took advantage of the washer and drier they had. "Colomos" café and restaurant was underneath our balcony as well as umbrellas and chairs that were complimentary. We asked the taxi to send us to the supermarket on the way to the cottage and didn't need to go food shopping again for the week. The bakery was conveniently close and we had fresh baguettes and almond croissants every morning. Loved the cottage! Kudos to Rikki, Marcia and Angeline who had given us the opportunity to enjoy our stay there. We have so much to share with our friends and we look to come back soon.

A++++ Veranda
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the beachfront cottage in Grand Case. The location is excellent-beach out the back door and city streets out the front door (complete with a crêpe stand directly in front of the home.) No problems with parking in a town that is frequented by people looking for a five star dinner. You have one spot reserved for street parking. We were allowed to use the washer and dryer, which cut down on the amount of clothing needed for the trip. Also, you should know that the third bedroom (with king size bed) is located separate from the main house and requires a separate key. Might be a problem with smaller children. Calmos Cafe is located next-door and is very accommodating. They even let us borrow a wine opener and beach chaise lounge for the veranda (my husband slept there many nights). The Cafe will also deliver to the veranda if you want. There is some music playing on various nights at the café, but it did not bother us. It was fun being in the action! As for the management company, Rikki and his team are great! You feel as if you have your own personal welcoming committee. Someone met us at the car rental office and we followed her to the property- very helpful since it would be difficult to find the property on the first try. The office is helpful and will answer any questions you might have about your upcoming stay. You are assigned a concierge for your visit (something you won't get with any other ordinary rental!) Thanks Rikki for the terrific time! NOTE: Some things we might suggest to make the stay even better: 1. Gas Grill 2. Chaise Lounge(s) for veranda 3. New lock/key system. The current one requires you to have a key to lock the door from the inside as well as the outside. Perhaps installing a deadbolt may remedy the situation.

Perfect!
There was 5 of us in our group and everything went perfectly. Camel met us at the airport and guided us to the house because we had rented our own car, that was really nice because we didn't know where we were going and it was our first time to St Maarten. The house is quite spacious and clean, the kitchen is great and the terrace outside is where we spent most of our home time. We arrived late at night and went to Calmos Cafe for dinner and drinks. They're awesome at Calmos Cafe, we sat at a picnic table with the surf gently coming in on our feet and had a great meal and some drinks and relaxed into our vacation. The waiters at Calmos were fabulous to us, they set up lounge chairs for us every day on the beach and we ran a tab for the week for all our meals and drinks, awesome! You can have them deliver your meal to the terrace as well. The house is situated in a prime spot, we had the beach out the back door and the town out the front door. At night we would go down the beach and stop in a bar and go dancing, during the day we went wake boarding, did some snorkeling and checked out some other beaches. We liked our beach the best though! We were impressed with the house and the people in Grand Case were equally nice to us, all in all it was perfect.
