We had such a great stay at this unique and beautiful property near Powderhorn ski resort. As a professional finish carpenter, I appreciated the artistry and craftsmanship of all of the building details. You could tell that building this cabin was truly a labor of love for someone and that they put a great deal of thought in to designing all of the little spaces. The hosts were great and it was a very quick jaunt over to Powderhorn which we thought was a fun ski hill. We would definitely love to stay here again.

"Custom log house" is an understatement... it's a joy to see how a master craftsman can build a home. And the story of how it was built (provided by the owner/builder) is an incredible read.This is a lovely place in a great location on Grand Mesa. Excellent hiking, biking, birding and paddling all within a few miles.An incredible spot if you enjoy spending time in this part of western Colorado.

Relaxing get away

This is an amazing beautiful property! We spent a lot of time just relaxing on the deck. Perfect location to go up on top of the mesa to picnic or hike. Worked perfectly for the dogs too!

The house overall was ok. We did have a problem with mice that made one of the bedrooms undesirable. When we reported the problem, the owner came out promptly and set out mousetraps. The kitchen was well equipped.There was no internet, no bad weather to cause a problem.

Great place!!! however the internet was rarely working so watching any tv was not an option since the home does not have cable or satellite service. If you want a convenient place to crash and ski this is a great spot.

We love Bird TV. Predators have eyes in front; prey has eyes on the side. The cabin itself is beautiful. The location is convenient to everything. Winter visitors will especially appreciate that the floors are heated.

Beautiful home was so comfortable and bright. 4 large bedrooms. Very functional with space for stuff before walking into wood floors. But I loved the birds and the view from kitchen table window. Skiing at Powderhorn so close. Would rent this home again.

Great house and location

We stayed here for our Christmas holiday. The house has a great layout and was perfect for our family. It was stocked with everything you could need. The location is only a few minutes from Powderhorn Ski Resort. It snowed about 14” while we were there and my kiddos loved playing in all that snow on the property and skiing on the fresh powder. We will definitely stay here again.
