Prairie Lake is great for paddling and fishing. The gradually sloping beach is perfect for kids to swim, launching kayaks from, or just to relax in an Adirondack chair and enjoy the lake breezes. There is plenty of lawn space for games, fire pits to gather around, and a large deck for outdoor dining.
The peninsula extends out to the East, making it the perfect spot to watch the sunrises and moonrises. If you're lucky enough to catch the Northern Lights, the sky to the North is beautifully dark. We mention Summer activities quite often, but Spring, Fall, and Winter all offer memorable experiences here as well.
Whether you're visiting to marvel at the fall colors, warm up with a weekend of sauna sessions, or to jump in a frozen lake, we invite you to make Mallard Point your own.
This resort was very close to Grand Rapids. Had nice beds and good beach for the kids! The living and dining room works for a few sitting down but we made it work for 8 adults. Shower/bathroom nice size and updated nicely!!
We had a blast! The amenities were great and itâs so peaceful there. Many of us kayaked for the first time. We felt tucked away with coziness! It will be our destination for our yearly mini-vacation from here on out! We left totally relaxed.
We had such an amazing time up north for the weekend! The location was fantastic, the cabins were so clean and cozy, we rented the pontoon for the day and it was perfect! The property owners were AMAZING and so accommodating!
We rented both cabins for our family vacation and weâre so pleased. Since we had young grandchildren they could go easily between cabins, we could use a fire pit nearby when they slept or the larger when all together. Best part was having the whole place to ourselves with plenty to do: swimming, great sand beach, fish, kayak and plenty of room to run or play lawn games. The hosts, Emily and James are wonderful
