Awesome view/location, but cabin needs help
The check-in process was relatively smooth, although the driveway leads to multiple houses and it was not entirely clear which house was the correct rental cabin or where we were supposed to park.
The view was incredible (right on the water) and the neighborhood felt safe and secluded - just what we were looking for.
The cabin was plenty spacious for myself and my son and it was mostly clean, although the carpet was quite stained and worn. The kitchen was sufficiently stocked, but be prepared to drive at least 30 minutes to get to a grocery store if you plan on cooking meals.
The biggest gripe we had was that on the first night of our 7-night stay, the toilet stopped working. We tried calling the property management company (VACASA), but there is no cell service in or around the cabin, so you have to walk to the end of the long driveway to make a call. There is WiFi in the cabin but the WiFi stopped working and was unable to reset. A local handyman finally came out after a few days but he was unable to fix the toilet or the WiFi. Once we were able to reach the local VACASA property manager (Leslie) she was extremely helpful in finding us a relocation property nearby for the remainder of our stay.
5-stars for Leslie, 5-stars for location, 3-stars for cabin.
