Free breakfast is served on weekends. Public spaces have free WiFi. Lantern House Motel also features a seasonal outdoor pool, a garden, and a picnic area. Free self parking is available.
Nice overall, ok for the price. Not a high end motel, but neat for a short stay. Had a show in Tanglewood so I needed an affordable place to stay and it did the job.
The fact that they require a vaccine card should be mentioned in their Hotels.com profile. Luckily for me I had it in my car. I don't mind if some hotel owners want to require it, but it should be pretty clearly stated. The owner told me that I didn't need to use the air conditioner, that I should open the windows. How about I decide that? The room was musty-smelling, and everything was very dated and just didn't feel very clean. There are better options in Great Barrington. This is a place to stay if everything else is booked up. Otherwise, it should be avoided.
The retro knotty pine room was very clean, quite spacious, with a table and chairs convenient for our take-out dinner. The ice machine was broken, and the "breakfast" was a choice of cold cereals.
It wasnât that clean, the carpet felt damp, the chairs had hair stuck to the seats. There was no room to move in the Bathroom-the soap bar was the size of a cheez it- no room on the tiny pedestal sink to do anything. We were supposed to have a continental breakfast, but owner decided to do only on weekends.
Well maintained property, large clean rooms, vintage furnishings. Comfortable, quiet atmosphere right on the main route through town. Just a few minutes from the wonderful Norman Rockwell Museum, a must-see. Bakery next door, walking distance to shopping plaza with grocery store, Marshall's, McDonald's and more.
Our room was entered by a hallway, through a closet. There was barely room enough to walk around the room. The check in failed to tell us check out was 10am so we were rushed because the housekeeper had "to go to work." Not a place we will ever stay again or recommend.
Okay overall but doesnât honor reservations prices
Overall stay was okay but only stayed from past 2am until 8-8;30 a.m and had reserved a room specifically for about 89 bucks but when arrived was made to pay extra fifteen totaling a hundred something for a different room when I had already booked and reserved a different room for fifteen dollars less just feel like they donât honor reservations and that isnât a good way to run a business especially when I was barely even using the room and also did not like how there was a door entering another room that couldnât get into and a second small creepy door in the bathroom that couldnât open made us feel uncomfortably creeped out, other than that the stay was okay but businesses are supposed to honor paid reservations regardless so if you donât mind not getting your reservation and being made to pay extra when your not even using the whole paid for time to begin with they go ahead and go there lol wasnât dirty or anything but Iâd recommend to the business to honor reservations in future..
The walls were dusty, lots of dust piled along edges of room. Carpwt was very ols and not maintained. The tv was way out dated and not very good reception, very limited channel choices.
We had business in the area and loved the price of the motel. We were given two connected rooms making it so easy to talk and plan.
I would call this motel eclectic and quirky. The beds were comfortable. We had everything needed. Breaskfast was minimal. Wonderful hot water for shower or bath.
Staff was very pleasant and helpful.
I would stay here again.
