Every Cottage of Lake Huron cottage has a small bar/kitchen, on demand hot water heaters, mini split and baseboard heaters, fire pit, bathroom, sofa sleeper, one queen bed bedroom and a loft queen bed. This listing is for 1 of our 6 cottages. With stunning sunsets and lake views, Cottages at Lake Huron facilitates the perfect vacation spot for everyone in your group! Cute, clean cottages steps to the sand!

Cottage was pleasantly stocked with essentials! Paper towel, dish soap, Kuerig coffee maker, k-cups and cream. Each cottage has a fire pit with chairs! Morning sunrises we’re spectacular! Each bedroom has its own TV. Will definitely stay there again!

Enjoyable family getaway

We love these little cabins right on the beach! Our kids love to play on the beach all day. The cabins are cute and have most of what you need. My parents were next door and they had more kitchen utensils, serving bowls, and coffee cups than we did. It’s interesting that they aren’t stocked evenly but it all worked out. We love to go to these cabins with 4 other families/couples so that we know everyone in all 5 cabins on the beach. We can have fires together and enjoy the beach together and you don’t have to worry about who your neighbors are. We also love to go to Lumberman's Monument when we’re here to see the beautiful views and hike the sand dune. We will most likely be back again!

The place was very small which was ok but NO HOTWATER in the shower our whole stay. Cold showers are not ok. Tried to reach out numerous times and was ignored. Never did anyone send maintenance out to see what was going on. Also beds are very thin flimsy mattresses. I was never offered any compensation for no hot water. If you have any issues they will not be addressed. NEVER AGAIN!

We enjoyed the beach and a camp fire every night. I liked the covered porches and a fire pit for every cabin. Inside the cabin we had a tv in every bedroom and living room. Outside they had plenty of chairs to sit anywhere you choose. I would defiantly go back again.

Wonderful Getaway!!

Our cottage was just as expected. Very clean and had an ample supply of linens. Kitchen was well stocked. The Keurig stopped working, but we had a new brought to us! Wonderful view of the lake and plenty of clean sand to play in. A great place for families!

Disappointing stay

The setting is beautiful, but the cottage did not live up to the setting. One problem was the Roku TVs, which did not work the entire time we were there. The management company (Unique Stays) was unable to fix the problem. Thus, we were not provided an amenity we were promised in our contract. Since that time we have made repeated efforts to be compensated for the inconvenience, but have yet to receive any meaningful communication from Unique Stays despite having checked out 5 weeks ago--and despite being told that a management team would meet and figure out how to "make things right" for us. On 9/14 we were promised that a manager would call us the next day and we're still waiting for that phone call. Other issues related to the stay had to do with cleanliness: I had to clean the refrigerator before adding our food, the stove had crumbs under the burners, there was a rotting potato on the kitchen window sill, one of the screens in the kitchen window was leaning up against the wall rather than being in the window (we put it back in place), there was a big wad of hair on the floor in the living room, and the nuts covering the bolts in the shower door were loose. We received multiple emails with check-out procedures, including instructions only to put the dirty dishes in the dishwasher and start it; however, the cottage does not have a dishwasher. We received a final email AFTER we left that included instructions if there was no dishwasher--wash and put away the dishes. But, there was only a damp, musty-smelling sponge for washing the dishes (I had to buy dishcloths so I could wash the dishes during our stay) and would never consider using that sponge to wash dishes. The cottage has 3 beds; however, one of those beds is in a loft that has NO railing across the front of the loft and no rails on the ladder going up to the loft. I had fully intended to address these issues privately with Unique Stays once they resolved the TV issue, but since they have failed to communicate with us, this seems to be my only recourse. In the future, I will steer clear of renting any property from the company.

Terrible property

I booked and paid the initial payment on this property. My daughter and wife were very excited to stay here since the back of the house opened right onto the beach and it was my daughter's birthday. Less than four hours before our stay I received a text that said they had double booked this house and I was being cancelled. They didn't offer another weekend for free just a 10% discount on the next weekend I could find available. Save yourself the trouble and find another property.

Wonderful place, but...

The location, beach access & new remodeling was over the top, & stunning! I was very happy with that aspect. What I wasn't so happy with, was the cleanliness ( or lack thereof). No towels at all, used blanket left on a desk, fingerprints/smudges all over the refrigerator door, & unswept floors made me leery when I first walked in. Communication over these issues was excellent, tho; I don't fault the company, as I know staffing everywhere is sorely lacking these days, & the company did send the cleaner back in. Kevin, the project mgr onsite was very understanding & accommodating! He stopped by several times to make sure I had what I needed. Overall I will come back, as those sunrises, peace & solitude are pure heaven! I just hope they have a new cleaning company when I do! 🙂
