Twin Lakes RV & Camping Resort
Chalet rustique avec cuisine Ă Chocowinity
This cabin offers its guests a marina and an outdoor pool. WiFi is free in public spaces. You'll find a business center on site. Barbecue grills, an arcade/game room, and a picnic area are also featured at this cabin. Free self parking is available.
Personnel from Twin Lakes attempted to notify me via text to not come however as I was driving I never got the message until I arrived. They warned me not to leave the park as with pending high tide the road in would be underwater. For fear of getting stuck there without any food I left immediately. So basically I paid for 2 nights without staying there.
The property was nice. The cabin was nice. But there were no towels, sheets or pillows. Had to go purchase my own. No notice was given of this. Then charged $25 for losing the key card.
Points faibles : Service et personnel, confort de la chambre
Overpromised and Underdelivered
A cabin with a kitchen in a campground had a lot of promise. But Twin Lakes Campground overpromised and underdelivered. First the kitchen -- a small fridge, microwave, coffee pot without filters, and a toaster. Nothing but plates and silverware provided not even a can opener. Second the bed and bath -- you must bring your own linens -- but that information was nowhere to be found. A hunch from my friend led to a saving phone call. Third the outside -- we asked about a fire pit and were told "just to build one on the ground". There was no fire pit and no picnic table. Fourth the wifi --- you not only pay extra for it but then it did not work during the middle part of the day. Normally I'd be fine without wifi but I had a critical work project to monitor. And then there was checkout -- We checked out on a Sunday likely busiest day of the week for check outs. The instructions said to drop the keys at the office. We got to the office and it was closed. So we left the key on the bed. Several hours later, I found our extra key. To return it I had to go through the gate. I both buzzed and called as the instructions say and no answer. Fortunately a good samaritan pulled up and let me in. I put that key on the bed too. It wouldn't take much for me to give a positive rating -- a drop box for keys when you check out on Sunday, a better stocked kitchen, a fire ring, a picnic table, and very clear instructions on what you need to bring.
Description is not clear at all. This is NOT a full kitchen, just a microwave and small refrigerator, and coffee pot, with no coffee or supplies provided. NO linens or even pillows are provided. No soap or shampoo. Bare bones. It is like camping, but not in a tent.
My kids and I had a great time staying here on a short weekend trip. We had a problem with our AC during a heavy thunderstorm; water leaked through and began flooding the cabin, but the after-hours staff came right away and solved the problem. Very helpful! All the staff was very friendly and accommodating, more than I'd expected from a campsite. My only complaint would be the pull out sofa bed in our cabin... so uncomfortable. The mattress was like sleeping on only the springs.... I suggest bringing mattress toppers to pad the sofabed. Regular bed was more comfortable than some hotel beds I've slept on.
Beautiful scenery, and great pools!
When we arrived at the location we foind that the cottage did not have internet and the queen bed was actually a double bed. Our linens did not fit properly and we had to pay additional charges to my cell phone provider to supply us with internet during our stay
We enjoyed our stay in the duplex we rented. The camp ground had everything we needed to make the trip enjoyable. Friendly staff, clean park, close to town. Couldn't ask for anything more!!!
