This is an older building. My room was nicely decorated. The bathroom shower had old caulking and paint drips that were left. Caulking around the shower walls and glass partition needs to be cleaned. The roof tile above the sink the paint was peeling. Elevator button lights for the 3rd floor were out. No amenities were offered. If you wanted breakfast you had to pay for it. The staff was nice but it would have been better if the hotel would have been torn down and rebuilt for a nicer hotel.

Let me start this by saying I don't normally give a bad review to anyone. This time however I am breaking my tradition for the following reasons. My wife and i booked the hotel as it was closest to where my son was getting married and looked awesome on-line. We arrived Saturday afternoon checked in and were hit with a hold on my Credit card for 100.00 ""for incidentals" that we were not told about. Strike one. Then the room was freezing as the AC was on and when I inquired at the front desk no one was on-site that could tell me how to get the heat on. We froze Saturday night and Sunday night. Hotel was 100% booked Saturday we were told. Strike two. Sunday morning breakfast buffet until 10:00. We go down at 9:30 and was told they were closed due to having a lunch buffet. Strike three. This all too bad as this property could have been amazing if only the staff cared enough to do what they advertised and have someone on staff that knows how to work a thermostat. Still waiting on my 100.00 to be released by the way.

The shower nozzle needs to be replaced - it shoots water in so many different directions it is hard to get wet. Also, it would go a long ways if something was done to quiet the place down. Doors were opening all night and woke us up every time.

Inn on the Square is a great hotel that’s centrally located and recently renovated. I have stayed at this hotel in my hometown for years; it’s my favorite spot. I would highly recommend it because it’s so clean and the staff are accommodating.

Most hotels in the area offer a complimentary breakfast bar; the Inn no longer offers this gratuity. My friends and I had to leave the bar because it closed early. It’s after the fact because my stay is over but…when I called to check on my reservation, there was no record of it! Although the paperwork was located after a lengthy phone hold. I provided my reservation number.

Staff were very accommodating, available, and helpful with early check in. Quiet and not crowded was a huge plus. Comfortable bed, nice fridge, tv, microwave. Only issue was water pressure in shower wasn’t the best and took awhile to get warm water to flow but that is being picky. Everything else is top notch, would stay here again.
