The staff were great! The location is ideal, within a short walking distance from the rail station and the cable car up the Jungfraujoch which was spectacular. We had a beautiful view of the mountains from our room.

Eiger Lodge Chic has clean, spacious, modern, comfortable rooms and overall has a nice, fun, attractive ski lodge feel. It is located within a 2 minute walk to both: (1) Grindelwald Terminal train station, which is connected to the Gondola to Mannlichen and excellent upper hiking areas, and (2) Grindelwald Grund station, which serves the scenic cog railway to Kleine Scheidegg - for more hiking and access to Wengen and Lauterbrunnen. For us, the perfect location. Also, very easy bus ride into main Grindelwald town up the hill with many restaurants (hotel provides free bus passes). Great views of mountains without mobs of tourists found in central Grindelwald. The Eiger grill restaurant had good food and atmosphere. Hotel had excellent breakfast. Check-in and check-out people were super friendly, efficient, and helpful. Perfect hotel for us. We would definitely return.

it is one of my favourite accommodation of my trip. the staff area so nice and it is next to the cable car station and could assets to the train station via the cable car station. I love the balcony with an amazing view of eiger mountain. there is a microwave at the breakfast area and it would be great to heat the food at the balcony of the room. the only thing I would suggest for improvement is installing a door at the bathroom. I would recommend to stay here instead of staying in the centre of Grindelwald.

We had a wonderful two nights here. We loved the bedding and our son loved the bulk bed. I love that the toilet and the shower room are separated and spacious. Breakfast was amazing. The location is just right next to Grindelwald Terminal station where there’s Coop, shops, restaurants, trains, gondola and bus. Taking the bus was free with a guest card. I’ll stay here again!

Beautiful place. The noise during the day with the construction was loud and at night was also loud, not sure why. The bar has good food but the only place we could find to eat. The room was very small and the lights were either on or off for the entire room.

The view was excellent, and we were lucky to have such beautiful weather during our stay. Every morning when I woke up, I felt like I was in heaven! The only thing is the room is a little bit small for 2 adults

A good choice - with disclosure as of Sept 2025

Setting, convenience to train station and the courtesy of the employees was unparalleled. It is a very, very basic hotel (again with great fuse if you select the correct room) but was undergoing refurbishment with a lot of construction work and machinery going on just a few feet away from our room/view making it currently less than desirable. This would have been OK if we were notified in advance and the price reflected this but that was not the case. I imagine once the work is completed, it will be huge improvement to the facilities and a great property.

Amazing stay! Beautiful mountain views and a few minute walk to bus/train terminal. Could not recommend more. Only downside was reception wasn’t available 24/7 and there was construction going on but other than that it was a great experience.
