Best features of the Sunstar hotel are the views from the rooms and proximity to the First gondola. Basic rooms and basic breakfast. A bit disappointing considering the price.

Our Favorite Hotel – Sunstar Grindelwald

This was without a doubt our favorite stay in Switzerland. Sunstar Hotel in Grindelwald is simply amazing—the views, the atmosphere, the service, and the location are all outstanding. The staff made us feel so welcome, and the hotel itself has a warm, inviting charm. But what truly took our breath away was the view from our room. Waking up to those stunning mountains felt like waking up in heaven—an experience that fills you with gratitude. We will always remember our stay here and cannot wait to return. Highly, highly recommended

Hôtel was in a great location. Staff were good. Only issue is the beds were hard as a rock. If you choose this hotel be ready for the international clientele as they are the only ones staying here.

The view & staff are the highlight! The rooms need some updating. I saw one that had wood floors but ours had old furniture and yucky carpet. The bathroom was pretty sterile and uninspired too, especially for the CHF 800 + we paid a night. On another positive, the spa is lovely and it’s really cool that they let you go there anytime because you’re a guest. The included breakfast is also plentiful and the location can’t be beat!
