Our stay was disappointing due to communication, comfort, and management. The manager was difficult to reach, he claimed he wasn’t receiving messages and had to be redirected to review them. He said that renting the property is just a hobby, which unfortunately showed in his lack of responsiveness and attention to guests.Upon check-in, we were surprised to learn that the house was for sale, and during our stay, prospective buyers arrived to view the property, something we were not informed about ahead of time. This was inconvenient and intrusive.The check-in process itself was unusually detailed, involving a count of towels, testing kitchen appliances, and even a walk to the electric meters to record watt usage. We were told this would be verified again at checkout, which felt excessive for a vacation rental. The living room’s mini-split air conditioner was undersized and unable to adequately cool the open area, making the main space uncomfortable during warmer hours. Additionally, there was a water leak in the master bathroom toilet, and with poor ventilation and the heat, the bathroom developed a persistent odor of urine. During our stay, the pool maintenance man showed up unannounced multiple times. He wanted to treat the pool, I had to request that they wait until after our departure so we could continue using it. The early morning of our last day the pool was completely drained leaving us unable to use it before check-out. Pool guy often be sitting around on the phone.
