Characterful Home in beautiful surroundings of Surrey Hills

Georgeous property in idyllic scenic location for families to get together for a relaxing home from home experience. Cozy in winter with woodburning stoves. Just 3 miles from the historic and affluent shopping town of Guildford and only 40 minutes from London by train. Lofty kitchen and eclectic living space make for a friendly atmosphere to create great meals together and play games. Every room is unique. Gardens are large with various spaces for entertaining even in winter with a lovely pergola and comfortable seating and a BBQ Area. Table tennis & Table Football available also. Tennis , Golf & rowing are very close by also.

The house is situated in and AONB,( area of outstanding natural beauty) in the Surrey Hills. It cannot be used as a venue for parties and loud music, however. The Surrey Hills are mecca for cyclists and for keen walkers. Close to Winkworth Arboretum. Bramley Golf Course is also just a 3 minute drive away.

Restaurant choice in area is excellent. 5 minutes from Grantley Arms in Wonersh and the Jolly Farmer in Bramley. Kinghams in Shere is very special, with consistently high quality food and service, bookings essential.
The village of Bramley is well equipped with shops and includes a greengrocer and well renowned butcher who seek out quality local produce. Waitrose and Sainsburys are just 10 minutes away in another historic town Godalming.

The river Wey has a lovely towpath for long hikes if the hills aren’t your thing. This runs between Godalming and Guildford. Boats can also be hired from Farncombe boat house.

The village of Shere - is a famous set for several movies including The Holiday is 6 miles away which is a great destination for a day out to include fabulous circular walks to the Silent Pool Gin distillery the secluded gem of a pub William IV or up to NorthDowns Way Newlands Corner - with fabulous views.

...Sarah’s house is fantastic. It feels very secluded yet is just a few miles from Guildford and half that from the village of Bramley. The house itself is beautifully presented with a (well equipped) kitchen/dining room providing a great central space. With the inclusion of the fifth bedroom there was plenty of room for six adults and three children. The garden provides a great area for children to play, along with a very large covered decking area with bbq which is perfect on a warm evening. Sarah was a wonderful host, very quick to respond to queries and very accommodating. She provided several extra touches that really made a difference to our stay. A fabulous place, would highly recommend.


...An oasis of tranquility, we couldn’t have wished for anything better! we visited for a family gathering and had young kids in our group who loved playing hide and seek in the amazing house and gardens. The kitchen was great for preparing a big Sunday roast. Sarah and Deet were outstandingly hospitable, helpful and always quick to respond. We can‘t recommend this beautiful place enough!

..We were blown away by Orchard Paddocks! Such a beautifully presented property, from the gorgeous and peaceful large garden to the very comfortable bedrooms, luxury bathrooms and the quirky, yet super impressive kitchen and dining area. We stayed here for around a month and couldn't have asked for more. Sarah's communication was fast and helpful. The house was warm, comfortable, spacious and fitted out to a very high standard. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property to others. Thank you Sarah and Dietrich for such a wonderful stay.
