Welcome to the Southern Star! We are the best value in Gulf Shores that can accommodate your sports team, your group, or the whole family! Sleeps up to 16 guests comfortably! Centrally located just 1.3 miles from the Sportsplex, less than 4 miles from the beach, and within walking distance to restaurants, movie theatre, and shopping!

The Southern Star has 4 bedrooms/ 2 baths plus an additional second den with work space. It's a spacious 2000 sqft home (plenty of room for everyone) with a fenced back yard. Bistro lighting, fence lighting, and bluetooth speakers create the perfect ambiance for friends and family to enjoy the outdoors.

You'll get your best night's sleep while on vacation too! All beds have hybrid gel/memory foam mattresses so you'll feel rested and ready to take on the beach, the ball field or your favorite activity of the day. Two king bedrooms with TV's, one with a full bath. One queen bedroom with TV and one bunk room with 2 roomy FULL SIZE bunks (4 beds). Each bedroom also has blackout curtains for those later sleepers.

Even our sleeper sofa beds will give you a great nights' rest. We have 2 queen sleepers in the living room and one in the second den, all with comfortable gel foam mattresses.

Everyone can watch the game or your favorite streaming movie on the 75" TV in the living room! Everyone can't agree? The rest of the group can settle in and watch their own movie choice in the large comfy sunroom.

Fully stocked kitchen for the cook in the group and an outside grill for the group's Grillmaster. Don't feel like cooking? Walk to 8 different restaurants nearby then enjoy a movie at the Cobb theater with 14 cinemas.

Beach day is just a few miles away. Take in the beauty of one of the most beautiful beaches in the world- Gulf Shores' sugar white sandy beaches and the incredible vista of the Gulf of Mexico or enjoy some of the nearby attractions like Waterville water park and arcade, parasailing, and the Gulf State pier.

Still looking for more to do? Travel a few miles to the north and visit the OWA Tropic Falls, more restaurants, shopping, shows, or spend the day shopping at the Tanger Outlet stores.

Even your furry friends are welcome! Small dogs can enjoy the large fenced backyard with no worries.

Location is awesome, we were 10 minutes from our youth camp, 15 minutes from the beach, and right by Target / Publix. The house was spacious and had everything we needed. The backyard was a plus for team building games that we had planned. Plenty of towels and pots / pans for cooking meals. Would stay there again

Perfect for our family of 11. The backyard was PERFECT for an intimate wedding reception. It’s so much nicer than it looks in pictures. This was our first time using VRBO and we had a great experience. It was central to ALL the fun things but the neighborhood itself was quiet. The only thing I recommend it to bring your own toilet paper lol

Accommodations very clean and exactly as listed. Very good and fast communication when an issue came up, which they resolved. When my dog accidentally caused some minor damage, they were so nice and understanding and everything was resolved smoothly. Happy with the visit!!!

Great Family Home with perfect location to OWA

The home was perfect for our family of 12. The location was close to restaurants and shopping and not far from OWA and the beach. Our grandchildren had a great time with the games and we BBQ'd in the back yard. Plenty of room to sleep everyone and everything worked as it should. Parking was easy for our multiple cars as well. Angie was responsive when I called or sent her a text.

Family Fun

Our extended family of smaller families were able to all gather together and have the best time. The kids enjoyed the bunk beds and the game room. The bunk beds were a great size and could hold at least 8 kiddos. We loved having all of the bed options with the pull out couches. The backyard area was great to hang out as a family and just enjoy each other. There was a great ambiance with the lighting and the seating was great as well. There are multiple tvs with connectivity so the kids didn't have to argue about what to watch. There were board games in the downstairs living space that were able to be enjoyed as well. The kitchen had enough space and was stocked enough for us to cook breakfast each morning and dinner/lunch throughout our stay to save money with such a large group.The proximity to the beach and fun things on the strip was great! We were able to go to a local park that was literally minutes away and to get to the beach that was less than 10 minutes away. There's a Target and Dollar General on either side of the street where the house is located for quick pickups of things that may have been forgotten or needed. We didn't have any complaints at all and would definitely recommend the Southern Star to guests in this area.

Inaccurate listing

At first glance it was great then the hot tub that it stated that the property had wasnt there nor was there a firepit. Also there was broken glass on the rug in the living room that we didn't see till my 8 month old granddaughter was cut by it. Also no extra toilet paper. Definitely will not recommend!

Nice house with more than enough space

I booked this home for my family summer vacation.We were a family of 14.This house had more then enough room, and plenty of towels to bathe.There are two refrigerators and two dryers which is perfect for large groups.I would recommend more pots and pans,an iron,and more items in the starter packs.But just to be on the safe side bring extra toilet tissue,dish washing liquid ,laundry detergent and paper towels if you are staying more then 3 days and have a large group.Angie was a great host and was there to answer all of my questions. Gulf Shores and Orange Beach is a beautiful place (very expensive) but beautiful and we would visit again.
