The Highlights

Sunshine on my Shoulders is a custom 4 bedroom, 4 bath beach home decorated with coastal elegance. The oversized kitchen and living areas were designed to accommodate a large group in comfort and other custom features include granite counters and tile surrounds throughout. Relax in a rocking chair or dine at the table on the back porch enjoying the sounds of the gulf. This home is designated for families. Pro-Tip: One of the two neighborhood pools in on the way to the beach so plan to stop for a dip!

The Space

Guests really appreciate the modern furnishings and touches. Solid surface flooring throughout and soft neutral colors provide the perfect retreat for a restful beach vacation. Three King bedrooms with private baths are furnished with memory foam mattresses. The bunk room provides sleeping for 7, with a trundle available, and a private bath. Triple twin bunks and double full bunks all also have memory foam mattresses.

* Renter must be at least 25 years of age. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

*. For you added safety there are cameras located under the house near the entrance door.

Fort Morgan and Morgantown

Morgantown is a lovely, unique seaside community featuring two swimming pools, a kiddie pool, two lighted tennis/pickleball courts and several beach access boardwalks. When you first arrive, you'll notice pride of ownership in this pastel colored, beautifully landscape neighborhood. Guests really enjoy walking and biking along the quiet streets and many rent golf carts and enjoy sunset drives. If you have small children or just prefer the convenience of parking close to the beach, there is a public lot just to the west of Morgantown.

Located a scenic 15 miles from Gulf Shores, you'll find everything you need close at hand. Dollar General and Sassy Bass Market are just a few miles away and have all the basics you might need. There are several restaurants nearby offering a variety of tasty dishes. Tacky Jack's, Sassy Bass (2 locations), Coast and brand-new Jesse's (opening soon) to name a few. Some venues even offer live, local entertainment.

Fort Morgan fishing pier is now open, and anglers will have access to convenient inshore fishing and the abundant species locally available.

Be sure and visit nearby Bon Secour Wildlife Refuge with over 7,000 acres of coastal habit. You'll be able to hike through the preserve and observe local flora and fauna. There are 4 trails, varying in size and terrain and you'll definitely want to make time to visit this natural oasis.

Perfect Beach House

We brought our 3 kids under 6 along with our friends who also have 3 kids under 6. This house is perfect. No inside stairs, plenty of places to sleep and plenty of space and bathrooms. An easy walk to beach and pool. We love Fort Morgan!

Just what we needed for two families with kids

We had two families coming together with 7 kids and this house worked just perfectly for us. The bunk room was an awesome space for them to all be together. The back patio was perfect for all of us to spread out and many crafts, games and activities were accomplished out there. Just what we needed.

We loved the layout of this house, and the spacious common areas were great for everyone to spend time together. The oven is new, and we had everything we needed to cook meals at the house. One thing we didn’t realize beforehand is that the thermostat has to stay at 72 degrees to keep the unit from freezing up. Many in our family are hot sleepers, so we will bring fans if we stay here again. Overall we had a great stay!

It was so clean and decorated perfect. We loved that each bedroom has its own bathroom! The open floor plan is perfect for a large family like ours. The only thing that would have made it better would have been if the rental included a golf cart. My parents are older and the walk was a little tough on them. We will be back!

Family Trip

The property was nice. We had a couple of issues, the floor was dirty, our feet turned black when walking barefoot; the bed in one of the bedrooms was broken and we had to remove the mattresses to fix it; there was a ton of sand that we washed off ourselves in the carports and the brother in law appeared a lot and seemed to be watching us, especially on check out day while we were loading up. He sat on a golf cart across the street and watched us load our vehicles. That made us feel uncomfortable. The location was nice, loved the roominess of the house, easy access to pools and beach. The porch outside was wonderful.

The only thing I didn’t like was we could not adjust the air at all. It had a lock code on it and was locked from guest adjusting the air. Also the washer was out but the property manager got a new one in the house in just day and it was a really quick process to swap out. We had a great time overall and the house was very beautiful.

Perfect For a Big Family

A short walk down the street to the beach that is maybe two or three blocks. We actually loaded the back of the truck up and dropped everyone off then the driver would walk back. The pool is only one block away. Enough parking under cover for at least 4 vehicles. A private bathroom for each room. We would definitely go back again.
