Enjoy a relaxing vacation on the water at Slackwater! By definition, Slackwater is a period of time in a body of tidal water when the water is completely unstressed. Unstressed is exactly how guests will feel in this new 4 bedroom 4 bathroom home which features ample living space with two expansive floors and over 2000 square feet in the prime West Beach area of Gulf Shores.  Located in the new Pass Time Community, Slackwater is just steps from both the Gulf beach and a local favorite beach Little Lagoon Pass. This low-density community has a sparkling pool shared by only nine homes! With the pool and the large community fishing pier just outside, guests can experience what Gulf Shores has to offer without leaving their home! If activity is your thing, Slackwater is just a five-minute drive to the center of town for dining, shopping, and entertainment. 
 
About Slackwater

Slackwater is the perfect beach home for your large family or even multiple families, with ample space for 12 guests and parking for up to 4 cars. On the main level, beautiful beachy decor, a wide open floor plan, and wall-to-wall windows are the cornerstone of coastal elegance. Plenty of seating and an extra-large TV provide an excellent space for entertaining and relaxing all while overlooking the gorgeous Little Lagoon. The fully stocked kitchen has counter space for preparing meals for a crowd and the window overlooking the pool brings the outside in. On the huge covered deck, relax in the captain's chairs and enjoy the breeze! The main floor also features one bedroom with a king-sized bed and TV as well as one full bathroom with a walk-in shower. 
 
Moving upstairs, the huge master suite has a private balcony with plenty of seating and a great view of the water. Sit outside and relax before bed to the sounds of the beach. Guests will also find a TV and an expansive master bathroom with dual sinks and a tub/shower combo. Across the hall is another king bedroom with a TV and private bathroom. Finally, down the hall is the kids' retreat, a bunk room equipped with a TV, DVD player, private full bathroom, and two sets of bunk beds, one full and one twin to sleep 6.  
 
Outside Slackwater, guests are just steps to a local favorite beach, Little Lagoon Pass. The Pass is the perfect swimming spot for families with children, featuring beautiful white sand, sparkling shallow water, and the perfect location to launch a kayak for a day of fishing. Speaking of fishing, follow the paved walking path to the brand new fishing pier, stretching 100+ feet out over the lagoon, and enjoy a day of reeling them in! Bring a propane tank and grill up your catch on the large gas grill provided for guest use. 

Pool Heating
The pool is heated from March 1 - May 31 and again from September 1 - December 31.
Guests can even access the beautiful Gulf WITHOUT CROSSING A STREET! A few steps beyond the Lagoon Pass beach leads to the sandy shores of the Gulf! Simply follow the walking path below the bridge and find yourself directly on the beach! The prime location of this gorgeous new home along with its expansive interior, sparkling pool, and easy access to TWO beaches and a fishing pier make Slackwater the perfect location for your family vacation.

For large parties, guests can also rent Always Summer, and Pass Time Cottage, two identical homes just steps away!

It was a very nice property.There was a few ants in the kitchen and they had a new refrigerator delivered on the 1st full day.I was there, so I had to be in the house for a little while.For that which was a bummer. Overall the location was really great and it was pretty quiet being that close to the street. We would definitely stay here again.

My family stayed here for the Sand in My Boots festival. Gorgeous property with easy access to the beach and a short drive to everything. We thoroughly enjoyed it!!

We have stayed here 3 times previous and this 4th was not best experience. We needed 3 codes through the first few days to get one that worked to be able to get in. Did not get an overnight number til later Sat. Took up to 6 times for code to work. Just kept spinning. After drivjng over 12 hours we wanted to get in. Finally someone came and oiled lock and then worked on loke to 3rd day. So getting in was an issue for the first couple days. There was much trash ..old food under sofa and food and dishes under one of bunk beds. Mold is very apparent in washing machine. And communication was iffy about issues. I could not access checkout and while i think I remember did not have a real list. I think we left in good shape. We will likely not be back even though generally speaking have loved this house. We have many great memories.

Great Rental but lacking detailed cleaning & fast communication

Our family really enjoyed our stay at the property. The location is great & having 2 fridges was really convenient for our large group. My only two criticisms is that we did not get our questions/comments about the property answered by the manager & the general cleanliness. The property had sand in it upon our arrival. The washer has mold which made our clothes smell weird once we washed them. I made the property manager aware but they did not respond. One of the bunk beds also does not have a functional safety rail. Luckily, we did not need to use that bed. It is definitely not safe for young children as-is. Overall we had a great time! The lagoon in the back was perfect for our young children.

Amazing place to stay

We had an amazing time on our vacation! The property was perfect and in a great location. The kids loved the swimming pool which was right outside our door. The kitchen was equipped with everything imaginable: crockpot, blender, griddle, etc. We only ate out one meal the whole week! There was a cabinet full of games, books and puzzles for rainy days or hot afternoons.

Perfect Beach Getaway!

This home was incredible! Beautiful & simple decor, comfortable & we loved the extra large table which easily seated our party of 9 (4 adults + 5 kids). Beautiful view of the lagoon from the main great room (kitchen/dining/living) and both large balconies. The walk to the beach was quick & easy, especially using the wagon provided. We did a ton of cooking and the house was equipped with everything we needed and then some. Do note that you will need to bring anything consumable (i.e. olive oil, salt/pepper, spices, ziplock bags, aluminum foil, etc.) Communication with the property manager was stellar! I received a welcome text upon arrival. And, although the internet was out during our stay, they promptly sent a repair person to fix the issue. Unfortunately for us it wasn't an easy fix so it wasn't up and running until the morning of our checkout, but that was no fault of the property manager. We look forward to returning to Slackwater in the future! *** Don't forget to bring beach towels and cooking consumables to ensure a seamless vacation!

Awesome place

Check-in was easy, and the property was clean and in a great spot. Communication from property management was also great. My only complaint was there wasn’t any extra toilet paper, paper towels, or dishwasher detergent. I would definitely stay here again.

Nice property

We had a nice family vacation in Gulf Shores. Property was well maintained and looked just like the pictures on the listing. We enjoyed the proximity to the beach. 2 of the toilets weren't working properly when we arrived, but had a plumber come promptly to fix the issue. They did have some beach items to use, unfortunately several chairs were broken, so couldn't use them. Overall, we had a great stay.

Great house!

We stayed with 2 other couples. The 3 king beds and separate bathrooms were awesome. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cooking essentials were clean and ready to go. Bring all spices and food that you will need. There was a drip coffee maker and a keurig. Downstairs storage for sandy chairs and such was nice. They even have a wagon you can use to take things to the beach. It's a bit of a walk to the beach hauling umbrellas, a cooler and chairs. So if you have a lot of stuff or someone who can't walk far this isn't the place for you. The pool was a few feet away. It was clean. We really enjoyed sitting on the porch and drinking coffee in the morning. I wouldn't pack fishing supplies. We didn't see anything off the pier but hermit crabs and blue crabs. I would definitely stay there again!

Recently visited this location 6 family members, there was room for more. Awesome vacation for any family. Viewing and visiting the lagoon and the beach was so relaxing. Pooling area appeared to be very clean.The living room, dining area and the kitchen was very spacious. Plenty of utensils, appliances etc. Sitting on the deck watching the pelican , people fishing, walking the trail getting their exercise in for the day . Fishes was bitting, people friendly. Not able to see Netflix, but it was ok. Enjoyed the trip I was there on sept. 11-14 the trip was much needed. Booked the trip guys it’s worth every dollar..

Great location, beautiful house!

As a group of 6 adults there was plenty of room for all of us and then some. The location was perfect. Short walk to the beach. We didn’t use the pool but did use the pool deck for some exercising. Great balconies with a fantastic view. Not all VRBOs have spices and such, this one had NONE just be warned. They did tell us that ahead of time, but we were hoping for basics (oil, salt, pepper) that weren’t there. No big deal. Rouses grocery was our favorite. The house itself was clean, very nice, had lots of utensils, pots, pans, even Tupperware for us to save our leftovers while we were there. Overall we had a fantastic time! And would probably return to this property, or another one managed by this company. They sent text messages throughout our stay to ensure everything was good. Highly recommend!

Fabulous

We traveled with 3 families from Wisconsin. We had a 7 month old, 2 yr old, 4 yr old, 5 yr old, 8 yr old, 9 yr old, and a 14 yr old. The house was perfect for all ages, especially since it has a booster seat and a play pen. We were very thankfully for each family having their own bathrooms and all the necessary utilities in the kitchen. Great location! Thank you for letting us stay!

Lagoon/Beach Paradise!

This was our first time visiting Gulf Shores and Slackwater #5 was all as described and more! The house was amazing, we all had our own room and plenty of space. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals and the grill was so nice also! The deck furniture was comfortable and we loved sitting and watching the activity on the lagoon and pier. The house was clean and so relaxing that we didn’t want to leave! we could not believe how peaceful and quiet it was. We loved the short walk to the beach and watching the birds on the lagoon. We were all so amazed at the sand on the beach, so fun to just walk on the beach and look at all the shells and sea life. We walked to the beach and saw some amazing sunsets. Watched the dolphins in the ocean, and just relaxed watching and listening to the ocean. A few highlights of our trip were visiting Fort Morgan, walking on the Gulf Shores Park fishing pier, LuLu’s and the Yard. We definitely will be back! Getting the text reminders and info for checking in was a nice touch! Thank you Harris Properties!

We had a wonderful trip. We took a short trip just to get away. Although we didn’t realize how cold it would get we still had a wonderful trip. The house was beautiful, very clean and had everything we needed. Would love to come back when it’s warm.
