The apartment is located in the main house of a four-sided farmstead in the Schönhagen district of Gumtow—a small Brandenburg village in the Prignitz region, set behind a forest about five kilometres south of the B5. The four-sided farmstead, built in 1844 and situated in a quiet location, has been developed in recent years into a cultural venue where plays are staged at regular intervals in the large barn at the rear of the farm. In the inner courtyard, known as the ARTrium, authors occasionally hold readings. In the summer, movies are shown there once a week at dusk. Behind the theatre barn is a large meadow with fruit trees and a vegetable garden. Guests at the inn thus enjoy a balanced mix of sophisticated cultural offerings and rural idyll. <br>In the immediate vicinity of Schönhagen, about 14 kilometres to the east, lies the former farming town of Kyritz with its wonderful chain of lakes. To the west, a trip to Bad Wilsnack is well worth the journey to visit the legendary Wunderblutkirche, a historic pilgrimage site. It’s also not far to the Elbe beach near the former industrial town of Wittenberge with its gigantic clock tower, or to the famous stork village of Rühstädt, where a very special natural spectacle takes place every year. <br>The apartment’s furnishings are simple. It consists of five rooms, has four beds (including one queen-size bed—140 x 200), and is initially intended for four people. Additional sleeping arrangements can be provided if needed. The apartment includes a bathroom and a kitchen with a stove, microwave, dishwasher, and washing machine. The dining room has a large table that seats up to eight people. The apartment is equipped with two TVs and Wi-Fi. <br>
