Nestled in a gated property, this recently remodeled 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom retreat boasts a spacious living room area, a fully equipped kitchen, and a private outdoor porch where you can savor leisurely meals and relaxation as you watch the sun dip below the horizon, casting a warm glow over the Pacific Ocean. You are invited to pick fresh, delicious fruit from the abundant trees on the private property when they're in season, adding a touch of tropical delight to your stay. The well-landscaped front yard offers a peaceful ambiance, and you can even cozy up around the outdoor fire pit on starry nights.

NOTES:

* The North Shore is one of the best places on Oahu to find untamed Hawaii as nature created it. The flora and fauna native to our ecosystem are a part of its splendor. In addition to the brightly colored tropical fish, on land you can anticipate seeing houseplants the size of houses, wild chickens & roosters roaming around, adorable geckos, tropical birds and the full menagerie of insects that sustain them ... some rare and beautiful (ex. Kamehameha butterflies) and others are decidedly less so. We will always have a clean and well-kept place for you that includes routine pest control, but please be advised that little visitors are not uncommon, esp. if you decide to attract them with unattended food.

* Our inventory of beach & sports gear is constantly changing as things get added or replaced. Such is the nature of outdoor "toys." It will always look similar to what you see pictured but may not be EXACTLY the same. Feel free to inquire about anything specific you've seen in our photos and we'll let you know of any changes.

* This is half of a duplex. This unit is has 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms with its own entrance for your private use. Long-term residents with children live in the other unit and the laundry machines are shared, located in the other unit.

* We have partnered with a provider of optional travel insurance, including a "cancel for any reason" option, if you need it. It's available for purchase after booking if the check-in date is at least 30 days away.

* Where applicable, the 3% per-transaction payment processing fee is non-refundable.

Probably Our Best VRBO Rental
Very nice house - just a portion of it, though - with an ocean view over Waimea Bay. Does require a short drive to get to the beach. JJ, the property caretaker, and his wife Mackenzie were always very helpful.

We had an enjoyable stay. The place was beautifully decorated, the views were gorgeous, and kids loved the bunnies and chickens. The property is shared with the host family and our kids enjoyed playing with each other.

Pūpūkea Hawaiian getaway
The property is 10/10! Massive gated property with all the space and views you could ask for. John and his wife, the property owners accommodated every request. They helped us enhance our stay with great recommendations. He even delivered fresh fruit from the property that was in season. It’s a true tropical paradise that’s very well maintained. The bunnies and chickens that free roam the property were a lovely addition. We spent every morning on the porch soaking up the view, watching the animals, and snuggling with the bunnies. The only thing I would add as a drawback would be no storage in the rooms for smaller articles of clothing. The closets do provide ample space for hanging larger articles of clothing. On longer stays I personally like to fully unpack and eliminate my luggage. If you’re looking for a place to stay on the North Shore, this should be at the top of your list! Be sure to read that property is shared with the owners and their small children. Which wasn’t an issue at all for us personally, but if you’re a stickler for privacy, there’s a lot of exposed glass in the main living area so you will see them as they actively live on site.
