The host was responsive and willingly worked with us. The place was not as picture and not what we were looking for in terms of a family vacation spot, so we contacted the host and left as soon as we got there. The host asked what he could do to make it better for us as he wanted us to be happy but due to the misrepresentation of the property, that was not possible. The area was not as expected and the backyard was very small and not safe as it only had a 2 cable fence to protect from a drop off to the water. There were some very unsafe wood steps in the backyard that went down the cliff, towards the water (no direct water access from the place). There were tires piled up in the backyard, no bbq but was told to use a rusted out, old, small trough like unit (the host did offer to have a bbq brought to us the next day), broken window coverings in the bedroom so could not close for privacy. The deck didn’t have a railing, was uneven and seemed soft in one area. There was an opening under the place that didn’t seem secured. It just didn’t seem kept and not a place you’d want to stay for a vacation. We contacted Vrbo, asked to cancel our reservation and to issue a refund which they did.
