The Freedom Lodge at the White River Mountain Ranch is a part of one of Colorado’s most extraordinary legacy ranches. Southwest of Steamboat Springs, the recreational ranch overlooks remarkable undulating natural beauty in pristine Hamilton, Colorado. Perched on the north flank of the Flat Tops, the Freedom Lodge at the White River Mountain Ranch has breathtaking views.

The White River Mountain Ranch is operated as one of the finest wildlife-rich ranches in Colorado. It is an hour and a half from Steamboat Springs, a world-class ski town and year-round destination. Commercial and Private air service is available from Yampa Valley Regional Airport, which is 50 minutes north of the ranch.

Practically impossible to explore in one trip, the White River Mountain Ranch encompasses 2,700 acres of unbroken heaven. Wildlife thrives in the fabulous setting. Mule deer and one of the nation’s largest elk herds play hide and seek in the rolling hills, valleys, and open meadows, aspen forests, dark timber and oak brush thickets.

Wildlife drink in clear mountain water at permanent small streams and over 30 reservoirs. From 6800 to 8600 foot elevations, the profound natural beauty unveils the glory of our purple mountain’s majesty. On this land, artists and photographers will always find spectacular subjects.
