Very good

Reception was packed with kids running about, welcome was friendly. Got to room, ‘bridal suite’ very small and basic but ok. Cobwebs on ceiling and taps on bath and sink broken. Also stains on towels. Worse was NO sleep the room adjoining to next door didn’t close properly they were up all night shouting, singing, arguing. When I say I didn’t have 1 hour sleep I’m not exaggerating. Called down to reception no answer, no one about either. 1.30 am got louder and was like that until we eventually got up and left at 6.30, didn’t even stay for breakfast. Never again. No help, no sleep, no breakfast. I couldn’t stay in the room a minute longer to wait until 8am when breakfast started. I paid £127.50 for the room and I deserve a refund. No one to even complain too on way out. It’s like your just left in your own during the night. The bits in the room wouldn’t have even bothered me but you don’t go to a hotel to relax and get no sleep or no help.

Lovely property. No lift and room was at the top of the manor. Staff very friendly and helpful. Very tentative to children.
I love this old Manor House hotel, it has an abundance of character in a charming, tranquil setting.
Nothing was too much trouble for the staff attending to us. So friendly and obliging.
Hotel is clean, food is great, I’ll definitely be back.

Charming but....
I really wanted to be able to give this place a glowing review as the staff are all really great, but for an overnight stay, it just didn't tick all the boxes for me. Food was very good, staff were excellent, grounds were lovely and it was quiet BUT, decor very dated, bed was seriously uncomfortable, bathroom tiny and shower was little more than a dribble. Lovely place though!

I got there late and so cannot comment on lots but the staff were friendly and helpful.
Lovely experience staying at an English manor. It has easy parking and a great garden to stroll on. it is family friendly and we liked the personal touch with video game setup in the room for the kids. Breakfast and meals are available. It is bit remote set in the village and it is not a 24-hour manned lobby so it is well suited for couples looking for a quiet time./
Our stay was very comfortable with the staff being extremely helpful and pleasant. Our room was very good although the steps in the room up to the bathroom and lounge area were disconcerting and could lead to trips and falls by young or old. The evening meals and breakfast were very good with a reasonable choice and well prepared and served. The parking area was less desirable with very rough ground and lack of organised parking bays.
