Come relax by the lake! Peaceful, rejuvenating, and lots of fun on one of the cleanest lakes in CT. No gas engines allowed on the water, which ensures a peaceful stay. The beach is just 30 seconds away. Enjoy water views from the front yard and chill out in the evening at the fire pit. The owner lives just down the road and you're invited to use his kayak and canoe.
The cottage is newly renovated, with a completely updated bathroom. Lots of windows and great light. Come enjoy!

Great Getaway House
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Harwinton at John’s home. It was perfect for us and offered very nice amenities. The property is very well maintained. A bonus was not having to purchase firewood for our nightly camp fires. We would highly recommend this place for any small group and would happily rent from John again.

Lovely House
The house was lovely. The kitchen and bathroom are in wonderful condition, and both are stocked with all kinds of things you might need. We enjoyed the grill, fire pit, and playing games in the yard. The lake is across the street, but you need to walk a couple houses down the street and around the corner to get to the nearest beach/access. John is great, and we used his canoe and 2 kayaks for a peaceful trip around the lake a number of times. We put the roll-out cot in the smaller room with the double bed, and it was a little tight, but our teenage daughter was quite happy sleeping (and lounging) on it and being able to share the room with our family friend. There is also a bottled water dispenser which was a wonderful addition.

Awesome place! The host was super helpful and accessible. We had such a nice visit, fishing and using the lake. House was clean and quaint! Couldn’t have asked for a better time and place! Definitely would stay again and recommend to anyone!
