There were people smoking in the adjacent room(s) to mine causing me to have a horrible continuous chest cough, swollen eyes, sneezing and a runny nose. There were screaming children in the wee hours of the morning. I was on the first floor and the first option for ice is on the third floor even though there is a restaurant and bar on the first floor. The front desk had no idea whether I could order breakfast to my room. I had to order Cracker Barrel through Grubhub and have it delivered to the hotel even though the restaurant opens for breakfast at 6am, no one was standing there ready to serve.

I always enjoy staying at this hotel the front desk staff is consistently friendly, welcoming, and truly amazing. The overall vibe of the property is great, and the location couldn’t be more perfect. However, during my last couple of stays, I’ve noticed that the cleanliness in the bathrooms hasn’t been the best. The showers could use a bit more attention, and the room floors have felt a little sticky. I’m not sure if it’s from the cleaning supplies being used, but it’s definitely noticeable. Despite that, I genuinely love this hotel and keep coming back because of the great service and atmosphere. I just hope housekeeping can tighten things up to match the level of hospitality the front desk team delivers.

The hotel goes down a little bit every year. It was a great place to stay when it was a boutique hotel. The only good thing is that it is close to food and other areas of Hattiesburg.
