Excellent fewdays in Hawick.
Loads to do in Hawick, places to get food & drink excellent and Saturday's can have a real buzz about town if rugby club win.
That said Hawick High Street is a bit tired looking & could do with a bit of money spent o it. It has potential to be an excellent visit venue.
The Bank Bank House was top class. Donna (the owner) couldn't be more helpful.
Ecellemt location, comfy, stylish & clean.
Will be back next time im down in Hawick.
Our stay was very comfortable. Even though it is classed as a guest house it is so big it's more like a hotel. Owners are lovely and breakfast really good. Perfect location for centre of Hawick with free parking. Would not hesitate to stay there again
Great stay, made more than welcome. Rooms beautifully appointed, good breakfast
.
The only ânegativeâ though not our party, there are a number of stairs for anyone with mobility issues.
Would definitely stay again.
Stayed one night after day at races.
Hotel has lovely rooms, and breakfast was good. Ownerâs daughter was running the show and she kindly contacted us during the day to advise of access limitations on the day.
She was most welcoming and we would definitely visit Bank House again. The only point I would make that it would not be suitable for those with mobility issues, due to the number of stairs.
Thank you Karissa.
Really excellent stay for a wedding weekend. Donna really makes the place feel like a home from home and you come and go as you please similar to a hotel. Lovely decor, great breakfast bang centre of Hawick. Hope to return one day.
Overpriced when compared with other B&Bs we have stayed at. The town is run down, with quite a number of unsavoury looking characters hanging around, which made us feel uneasy. The rear parking is near a shabby tenement block with lots of broken glass and crockery on the pavements, which also led to doubts about the safety of our vehicle. Access to the room was via a very tight and steep stairwell with narrow steps that would have proved difficult with any larger luggage. The room itself was clean and the bed comfortable, but the bathroom was very small with only a micro sink. The breakfast was fine and the host very friendly, but the overall impression was disappointing for what is generally a very beautiful part of the country.
