The Hop Kilns
Welcome to The Hop Kilns
We are fourth generation farmers who have spent two and a half years renovating The Hop Kilns on our family farm in Herefordshire to be a place where families and friends can come together, slow down and enjoy a little slice of countryside life, and we can't wait to host you!
A Home for All Generations
Weâre a family-friendly holiday home with plenty of games, books and space for little ones to play. If you need a travel cot (or three) or a highchair, just let us know â weâre always happy to help make packing that little bit easier.
The property is fully accessible, with ramped access, extra-wide doorways and a ground floor en-suite bedroom. A shower chair and grab rail are also available on request to ensure everyone feels comfortable and at home.
Flexible & Comfortable Sleeping
The Hop Kilns comfortably sleeps 9 guests, with space for up to 12 if sofa beds are used and guests are happy to share.
Our four large bedrooms can be made up as king-size or twin beds to suit you
Bedroom 5 is a small adjoining room to Bedroom 4 with a cosy single day bed, which can also be made into a king-size bed (though space becomes a little snug!)
Bedroom 2 (Fuggles) has a small double sofa bed
A small double clic-clac sofa bed can also be set up in the snug (creating a sixth bedroom), or in Bedrooms 1 or 4.
Please note that our guest numbers do not include infants under 2, so please do not put them into your booking numbers on here unless they require their own bed*. *This does not include our complimentary travel cots that can be requested following your booking.
There are four en-suite bathrooms plus a downstairs WC, so thereâs plenty of space for everyone to get ready without queuing!
Relaxed Living Spaces
Downstairs youâll find a fully equipped kitchen and utility room with tea, coffee and all those little essentials that truly make your stay here with us a home away from home.
The main lounge seats nine and has a Smart TV with a a variety of streaming services for cosy evenings together. Tucked away in the round kiln is our snug â complete with comfy armchairs, a second Smart TV and a Wii console â perfect for children (or competitive adults!).
Safe Outdoor Space
The enclosed garden and parking area provide a secure space for children and dogs to run around and burn off some energy while you enjoy the fresh Herefordshire air.
Dogs Are Part of the Family
We absolutely love dogs and are delighted to welcome up to four well-behaved dogs (ÂŁ25 per dog). If youâd like to bring more, just get in touch and weâll see what we can do.
Optional Extras
To keep our base price as fair as possible, a few added extras are available if youâd like them:
Hot Tub: ÂŁ100 per stay + ÂŁ25 per day
Gas BBQ: Free AprilâSeptember (ÂŁ25 outside of these months)
EV Charger: Usage billed after your stay
Additional guests (beyond 9): ÂŁ75 per person per night
Sofa beds: ÂŁ50 per bed per stay (where there are 9 guests or fewer)
Arriving & Staying With Us
If weâre around, we love to pop by and say hello when you arrive â but if youâd prefer to settle in quietly, thereâs a lockbox for easy self check-in.
Weâre always just a call or message away before or during your stay, so please do not hesitate to get in touch, as we want to make your stay as perfect as possible!
A Gentle Note About Farm Life
The Hop Kilns sits on our working farm, so youâll see and hear farm life all around you â cattle, chickens, tractors and all the sights, sounds and smells that come with it! Whilst we pride ourselves on our 5* ratings across the board on Airbnb, we are definitely not the place for you if you want a pristine property with not a cobweb in sight! But if you want somewhere with beautiful original features, dark starry skies, the sound of owls at night and endless countryside walks with gorgeous little market towns within easy reach, then we might just be exactly what you are looking for!
For your safety The Hop Kilns has its own private gated access and there is strictly no access to the farm. We do, however, absolutely love to give farm tours, so please do get in touch during your stay and we'll do our utmost to find a mutually convenient time to show you around the farm.
We canât wait to welcome you to The Hop Kilns and share our little slice of heaven in Herefordshire with you!
