In summer, enjoy long hikes and cycle tours through the wooded hilly landscape around Hestra and discover clear lakes that are perfect for swimming and fishing. Go on excursions into the marvellous nature of the Isaberg, where canoe and kayak tours provide varied adventures. In winter, the region turns into a popular ski resort, and in Hestra itself you can go skiing, snowboarding or explore the snow-covered landscape on cross-country skis. The town of Hestra is also home to cosy restaurants and small shops that invite you to stop and linger.
