This luxurious oceanfront home features 5.5 bedrooms and 5 en-suite bathrooms. Spectacular oceanfront views are enjoyed by three of the five bedrooms, the entire top floor (reverse living), the downstairs wet bar and the newly installed 500 square foot travertine deck located off the upper level. This iconic home, which has played host to a U.S. President and his wife, underwent a full renovation in 2015 by an award-winning builder. Attention to detail is evident in every aspect of this luxurious home. The newly designed open concept kitchen was the recipient of the 2015 Lighthouse Design Award for the best kitchen renovation. Located in one of the finest resort destinations in the world, Palmetto Dunes Plantation, this uniquely designed home accommodates up to 15 people.
The open concept house is framed with oversized floor to ceiling windows, designed to capture oceanfront views from all three floors. Vaulted 18-foot ceilings on the top floor and soaring ceilings throughout, truly enhance the feeling of space, openness, and luxury. When you enter the home with its travertine floors, guests will love the pool side bar room. This room has high ceilings, a brown sofa, swivel chair, natural wood end tables, and a granite topped wet bar with a mini fridge. There is also a 55â TV mounted on the wall to watch your favorite sports or movie while enjoying the pool and ocean views and sipping on a cocktail. Step outdoors to the most beautiful backyard on the coast! A brand new 40 by 14-foot saltwater gunite pool awaits, surrounded by a huge travertine stone deck. The pool features a horseshoe-shaped hot tub, with a waterfall feature on the right and an in-pool seating area with a granite counter. The pool is surrounded by palm trees, tropical landscaping, and pampas grass. Welcome to Paradise! Succulent potted plants line the patio to the right with a wrought iron table that seats six. There are nine lounge chairs, a patio couch and patio chair. There is also a covered patio with a gas grill for evening cookouts. Eight steps down from the pool is a lower deck, with built-in benches and a few more lounge chairs, perfect for watching the kids play in the gorgeous grass yard. The tall landscaping provides the utmost in privacy and provides a windbreak from the beach. A boardwalk from the yard leads to your own private beach entrance that deposits you on the world-famous Hilton Head beach.
The second floor has 4 bedrooms, including 2 masters, with floor to ceiling windows, opening to the pool and ocean and stunning wide plank distressed wood floors. On the right is an exquisite master bedroom with coffered ceiling, a king bed, bench seat, and a walk-in closet. There is a desk for writing postcards about your wonderful vacation, a 50-inch mounted flat screen TV, and two upholstered swivel chairs by the windows to watch the sunrise. Giant reclaimed wood doors slide back to reveal an oasis of a private bath. A soaking tub in front of the window, double sinks with quartz countertops and a large separate shower make this an ideal retreat. A door in the bedroom has five steps down to the pool. The second master suite is on the left, features a king bed with a leather headboard, coffered ceiling, bench seat, a 50-inch mounted TV, a walk-in closet, and a writing desk. Beautiful picture windows showcase the Atlantic Ocean, with a door with five steps down to the covered patio and pool. A pocket door separates the flex room, which has a twin day bed, 32â flat screen TV, and hallway door. The en-suite master bath has a huge shower and double sinks with a mosaic backsplash and quartz countertops and services both rooms. Across the hallway are two more bedrooms. On the right, there are two queen beds, which feature rattan headboards, an armchair with ottoman, and a 40â flat screen TV. The private bath is a combination tub/shower, with a single vanity with quartzite countertop. On the left is a king bedroom with a wood headboard, armchair with an ottoman, and a 40â flat screen TV. The private bath is a large shower only with quartzite countertops and custom cabinetry.
The 3rd floor boasts the amazing open floor main living area and the fifth bedroom. This floor has the same stunning hardwood floors, high decorative wood ceilings, and gorgeous ocean views. The gourmet kitchen has an exposed beam ceiling and provides seating for six around a high-top Quartz Island, with additional seating for 12 in the dining room. There is also a high-top table for two right by the windows. The âchefsâ kitchen has top quality stainless-steel appliances including a Thermador 6-burner gas stove and custom cabinetry. In the loft area behind the kitchen there are four gray leather chairs, a round stone coffee table, gorgeous chandelier, and sky lights. The perfect spot to sit and read a book while enjoying a drink. Behind the pocket door is the laundry room with sink, washer, and dryer on one side and a bathroom on the other side. The bathroom has a single vanity and walk-in tiled shower. Behind the next pocket door is the fifth bedroom featuring two queen beds, two bench seats, built-in bookcases, and a 32â TV. The dome-shaped room offers vistas of the ocean towards the front of the house and mature oak trees out the uniquely shaped window.
Opposite the kitchen, decorated with designer furnishings, is the living room with plenty of seating for everyone. There is a large, off-white sectional, two swivel chairs, a large ottoman, and a 55â mounted TV over the open fireplace. The reading nook is separated by a stunning 10-foot Quartz ledger stone fireplace. In the reading area there is an off-white sofa with chaise lounge and a swivel chair. The wet bar off the living room provides seating for three along a live edge walnut bar or the high-top round table for two by the window. This bar has a wine fridge. End your day on the expansive 3rd floor deck, looking out over the ocean with dining and seating for all. There is a patio sectional, four chairs, and a large square table for eight.
All three floors are serviced by a newly installed elevator.
