We recently spent a week at Hotel Mövenpick Hobart. While the hotel’s central location and overall presentation were positives, there were a few aspects of our stay that fell short of expectations for a property in this category.
Unfortunately, the room cleaning was inconsistent and not always completed to a high standard. We also found it very difficult to get in touch with reception, housekeeping, or the restaurant over the phone — calls went unanswered throughout our entire stay, which made simple requests unnecessarily inconvenient.
Our room also had a persistent drain odour, and soundproofing could be improved, as we could clearly hear water usage and plumbing noise from neighbouring rooms.
Overall, our stay was comfortable enough, but with better attention to housekeeping, maintenance, and guest communication, the hotel could offer a much more seamless and enjoyable experience.
