Yummy ice cream with a view.

Nice place in a nice area. Only small detail was the shower. The water never really got hot/ warm. Had to take a very quick rinse because of it. Did have a great view of the glacier and yummy ice cream.

The heater did not work in our room and they supplied us one. Problem was it was a small one. I didn’t want to leave a bad review but I woke up sick in the middle of the night because the blanket they provide is super thin and no heater made the night terrible. It ruined the whole next day as I had long drives to go to and the entire time I had a sore throat, dizzy head, and a runny nose. The owner was nice though as we were running late for check in and they stayed there for us but getting sick really ruined it all.

There is no shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the bathroom, which is so common nowadays, and no kettle. Ask the reception-in duty if I can borrow a kettle to use it in our room and he asked me to go into basement kitchen to do it yourself. The wifi supposed to be included, the connection is the worst that I can think of. Even I tried to use my own data, there is slow connection to none. Not worth the money spent, would never recommend this guesthouse to anyone.

Can’t beat the glacier view at this place. It’s basically a small hotel on a farm. There are cows and tractors. Breakfast was good and they have dinner, but we went to Hofn for dinner. The room vibe is what I would consider to be Soviet Industrial Chic. Very bland and a really weird lacquered pebble floor. It was clean and the staff was very welcoming. I would stay here again, but the price is a little high for what you get, but limited supply in this area allows for a higher price point.

What a beautiful setting at Brunnholl. I have never had a view of a glacier from my window ! Then you can observe the numerous cows on the property. Clean rooms and environment.

This place offers a nice breakfast buffet, yummy homemade ice cream (try the dandelion!) and a small gift shop. There are cows on site so you know your dairy products are fresh. The rooms are clean, modern (with hooks/outlets/bedside lamps for each bed) on a quiet property. This is a wonderful one night spot for your road trip around the island.

Family friendly rooms and lovely service

It’s difficult to find a room in Iceland that allows more than 2 people. We were traveling with our 6 year old, and I was happy to find Brunnholl Guest House. The family rooms were modern and spacious, and I appreciated that each bed had an outlet by it for charging. The view of the glacier from our room was incredible. The breakfast spread was excellent. They make their own ice cream on site, and it was tasty.
