Starfish Cottage is our four-bedroom beach house located one block to the sugar sand beach of Anna Maria. Enjoy the island breeze while vacationing in style and comfort.

The dine-in kitchen features a large table with seating for eight and leads to the living room with patio doors out to the pool.

Two of the four king bedrooms feature an en-suite bathroom. Each bedroom has a TV and includes crisp linens and plush towels from our professional linen company. Your guests will stay connected with complimentary WIFI and enjoy all of the comforts of home, including a full-sized washer and dryer.

The sparkling, heated pool is the highlight of the tropically landscaped backyard. Complete with pool loungers, outdoor shower, cornhole game, putting green, grill and patio dining table for six with an umbrella, poolside is the perfect place to spend the day when not at the beach.

Located in a residential neighborhood in Holmes Beach, Starfish Cottage is close to everything the island has to offer. The free trolley stops nearby and travels the entire length of the 7 miles of the island. Hop on and off at your leisure and explore shopping, dining and the beaches.

Great location. LOVED the yard. The toys were super fun. It was great to have chairs and a wagon to bring to the beach. Great Parking. The ice maker stopped working on the first day, and the refrigerator on the last. I called management the day we left. I was too busy having fun to call. My suggestion would be to replace the pots, pans, bowls, and kitchen stuff if you stay for a week.

The house was amazing and fit our family very well. There are a few maintenance items that need to be tended to. One of the bedroom doors didn’t latch when closed. AC can only be set to 68 which gets hot in the front bedroom. TV remotes didn’t work for every room. Beside these minor issues everything was a great and location was perfect.

I really enjoyed staying at the Starfish Cottage. This is a beautiful cottage. Love that its so close to the beach and I loved the pool. This cottage is close to shopping and restaurants as well. I would recommend this property to anyone.

Excellent location!

We loved the house and location! The house was beautifully decorated and clean. Beds were comfortable. Pool was awesome!! Great to be able to relax in your own heated pool after a day at the beach. The location couldn’t have been better-literally a 3 minute walk across the street to the beach and around all shops and restaurants. The only issues we had- which were quite a problem was the lack of kitchen stuff. The house needs new pots and pans
 one pan to cook in and it needs to be thrown away
 no bowls or containers to put leftovers in or to even make a meal/salad. Only cereal bowls. When you pay that much money to stay at a house with a kitchen that big and you’re planning on cooking a lot of meals when you’re there, it’s pretty impossible to cook when you don’t have bowls or pans to use to cook with.. dishes are cheap. Someone needs to go to Walmart and buy some new pots and pans and a set of bowls/cookware. The yard and house is very private also with beautiful landscaping except the one side where the “grass” is. A 6’ privacy fence on the front part of the house would give total privacy to guests. These are minor things however and didn’t put a damper on anything! We loved our stay. But seriously BRING YOUR OWN COOKWARE

This property is in a great location as well as a very nice clean comfortable home. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need except for a crockpot! Towels and beach gear were all in great condition. The back and side yard are a very nice place to hang out and the pool is amazing! We would stay here again. The property managers are top notch and very easy to communicate with.

Perfect, quiet location

The house was just as described on the website. It was so nice to have an equal number of bedrooms & bathrooms so that everyone had their own space. The only negatives were 1. the kitchen lacked enough bowls and had no storage containers/bowls with lids for storing food/leftovers 2. the website stated the house had beach chairs & a beach wagon however there were only 4 chairs that were not broken and the wagon was rusted & broken so it could not be used.It was so nice to be just a short walk across the street to the beach access. The backyard was lovely & private. We would definitely stay again!

Lovely property

The property is in a great location two minute walk to the beach. Quiet neighborhood close to the trolley stop. The house was decorated perfect. A lot of VROB homes are so fancy you are terrified something will break. This house is so cute and practical. Some things I would draw attention too. 1. The heater was on the pool. Which might be nice but it was a very hot week and we didn’t discover it was on until the night before we left. Would be better to leave instruction on where it is and how to operate unless winter time then turn it on. 2. They had lots of pool and beach accessories which is nice. I suspect people may have out ahead and left them behind. I ended up going thru the box and stacking all the broken things in one area in hopes that maybe the owners might see them and toss it out. I didn’t feel Comfortable doing it. 3. Need extra trash cans. Trash picks up on Monday and Friday but most properties had tow trash cans and one recycle can. By Friday the trash was bursting out of the one can. 4. The pool really needed a midweek cleaning. The pool boy came the day before checkout and as I mentioned was a hot week so it was pretty cloudy by the time he arrived. All in all it was a fantastic vacation and the above list isn’t a compliant more then feed back for the owners to make it an even better place to stay!

The house is literally across the street from the beach, as well as close to food shopping, minutes from amazing restaurants (highly recommend Sand Bar Restaurant on the beach). Location was perfect! The house is as stated & roomy for a family, pool is very nice and clean. My biggest complaint is there not not enough towels, we had to do laundry daily so we could have clean towels, we were 6 adults, 2 kids. Kitchen not fully stocked, i had to request a cutting board and kitchen towels. The good note is that the property manager is very responsive and each time I needed something they provided it right away except for the towels they never did bring the extra towels. Regardless, the house is lovely nicely decorated all of the TV and again the pool was wonderful in the evenings as the barbecue I would definitely stay in this house again.

Stayed here with my husband and kids (teens). The pool is wonderful and you are only a block from the beach. The house had plenty of room. The AC wasn't working well in part of the house and the dishwasher, blender and a tv were broken, a few other things as well but the property manager was super responsive and helped replace/repair. I would rent it again for sure.

Perfect vacation home

Loved the house and location, but will not likely stay here again because of the management company. We were there with another couple and when she opened her closet door, the crown molding fell off the wall on her and it had exposed nails that cut her and she had huge bruises from top to bottom on her arm. The office sent Brent to fix it and he was wonderful. He also had to get all of our TV's working probably because the instructions in the book were insufficient. There were lots of little things that were issues, and all driven by the management company. They charge a ridiculous fee and put the bare minimum in the rentals. Plus, the previous guest had an Amazon pkg delivered, and we got a call from Anna Maria Vacation Rentals to watch for the pkg and then they called again to say there was another one to watch for and bring in the house. We were tired of them using us to get packages for another renter, so we went by their office to tell them we were leaving a day early and we were told they would not refund the last night. Then the day we were leaving, they called me again to ask another "favor", which was to look for another pkg for the next guest that was a set of golf clubs and he wanted them to be put in the backyard for him. I told her we were leaving and she hadn't had that communicated to her. We've been coming to AMI 2x/year for 16 years and have never had a management company ask us to be their step and fetch for other renters. Again, great house and location!

1 block from the beach

It was so nice for all of us to each have a room and our own bathroom! We were right next to a trolly stop which was super helpful. Also, a short little walk to the beautiful clean beach. I contacted the lister on Sunday because the ice maker in the freezer wasn't working and someone came Monday to fix it. Two downsides - the grill didn't really heat up and the side door didn't latch but it did lock otherwise was very happy with my first VRBO experience!

Location and house is great

We had a great vacation. House is 1.5 blocks to beach so perfect location. Had one minor hiccup, but property managers handled the problem quick and efficiently. Back yard is better than pictured! Will definitely be back!

Perfect place for week away

Perfect vacation getaway. Well-appointed home with thoughtful touches. Clean, new appliances, washer dryer and bathroom for every bedroom. Perfect for three to four couples or combination with family. Very short walk to the beach (across the street) and everything you'd want to take spend the day at the beach or the pool. The house is perfectly positioned - far enough away from the north and midpoints of the Island with limited congestion. This pretty house, has a small and perfect size pool to cool off or soak, ping pong table and bags boxes for out door games. Reliable Wifi/TV's in every bedroom. They've thought of everything.

Stay at Starfish Cottage

The house was very clean and spacious. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. We really enjoyed the heated pool. The water temperature stayed comfortable all week despite the cooler weather in January. The proximity to the beach is great.
