We loved our stay here! Great location, parking, view, and value! Just a couple suggestions: An extra set of bedding for each bed would have been appreciated for a stay of over a week. We were here 9 nights. Also, this unit really needs to have curtains that block the afternoon & evening sun to help keep unit cooler. Closing the sun shades even just partially on the balcony holds in all the heat from the A/C unit sitting on the lanai and makes it very uncomfortable to sit outside & enjoy the sunset or evening. There are a couple maintenance items I addressed with management upon arrival that we were surprised to find in a "remodeled" unit, however they were minor. Table legs on lanai table, drawer broken in kitchen & screen bent/loose on lanai window.

The property was absolutely wonderful! Clean, spacious & the view is to die for. And we got to see the sea turtles!! Only negatives is when on the deck the AC fan is running & made it so hot , especially in August. Quick fix
 we turned the air off. It also would have been nice to have a fan in the upstairs bedroom. Other than that it was perfect!! Thank you for a lovely stay!

Great location

We enjoyed our stay. We were on the third floor, so it was a little difficult with our luggage, but totally worth it. We got to watch whales and sea turtles from our balcony. There was a cooler and beach chairs for us to use and everything you would ever need in the kitchen.

Nice ocean front

The location on the ocean was nice. It is on a busy road and was quite loud in the morning. The property was very clean the furniture could use some updating. The cushions on the chairs on the balcony need to be replaced as they are very worn and felt like there was nothing on the chairs. The kitchen was nice with a dishwasher, could use more utensils and a bigger fry pan but we made it work. Should be advertised that the washer and dryer is a coin operated but is very close. We would rent again overall a really nice property with an amazing view. Thanks for a great vacation.

This was a wonderful place to stay especially for my son who wanted nothing more than to swim with turtles. Every evening they came right up to the wave wall of the condo. It was wonderful and close to things yet set apart from the super touristy places enough.

Maui 2024

Can’t beat the ocean front view of #306. The beds were comfortable but the patio furniture and living room was so uncomfortable!!!!! Definitely needs replacing. Floors were filthy, and we didn’t wear shoes inside. We swept but didn’t seem to do any good. Not sure if it’s road grime filtering in or they just haven’t been cleaned good in a while. Hauling luggage and groceries up to the third floor was a challenge on the very narrow stairs. Not for those with walking issues. The parking is tight but everywhere on Maui seems that way. We had great whale watching and there was ample room by the pool every day.

Great Location, good for Families or kid free travelers

The condo is in a great location, within 10 mins of multiple restaurants and a handful of world class beaches! The beds were comfortable enough, and the views cannot be beat! Upgraded bathrooms and kitchen are nice. Furniture and décor is dated, but in decent condition. It does get hot in the afternoon, but a strong breeze blows through and I think it would only be a problem during the summer months. If you plan a long stay you will need to pay to wash your towels in the coin laundry and make sure to buy some toilet paper at the ABC store a few minutes down the road. Kids loved the pool and we saw turtles diving and munching on seaweed from our Lanai multiple times each day! We'd definitely return to the Kulukane!

This one is a bit mixed

First, let's cut to the chase and just say that the property staff was very nice and all the people we interacted with were friendly. Also, this property has a truly AWESOME view right on the water and you can enjoy morning coffee or afternoon wine with the whales and turtles, as you are right on top of the water. It has close proximity to conveniences and North Maui beaches, which are brilliant. The evening blowing of the conch shells was really corny, but also cute and fun. If this is all you care about for your stay then this place is great. You could do a lot worse! The condo itself was clean, but I don't think the recent renovation is a success. The main floor shower didn't work, which was a big inconvenience but all we got was a tepid "apology" from management. The main floor bedroom was LOUD (local roosters and street traffic). The kitchen was poorly appointed (e.g. very incomplete silverware set, a very old/cheap, and profoundly dull set of kitchen knives, etc, etc). The lanai shades that protect from afternoon sun were broken. In short, this property needs a few minor repairs and some updated kitchen equipment, but I honestly don't think the owners care. It's understandable that some things break from time to time, but when so many little things that are so easy to resolve don't get taken care of, that feels almost insulting. We didn't hate this property, but it definitely wasn't our favorite.

Great location, not well cared for

The property management company was outstanding. They were responsive and thoughtful, addressing several small things quickly. Definitely the right company with wonderful customer service. We enjoyed the great location, close enough to walk to one of our favorite small beaches. Also walking distance to stores and food trucks. Coming out of Covid I imagine people are clamoring to travel. This place is likely a great revenue stream. It’s unfortunate that not more love and care has been given to the unit. So much potential, with so little investment. Furniture is well worn. We had exactly 4 forks for 4 of us. None of the Tupperware matched. Knife block missing pieces including scissors. Stairwell title broken. Rattling standing fan. Games available missing most pieces. I could go on but I’m hopeful the pattern is obvious. Would be nice if some of the, not inexpensive rental fee, was used to add some improvements to the unit. Could be a great place since it has a lot of pluses like location and view. Also incredibly hard to close windows, extremely noisy in the morning as motorcycles buzzed by and garbage trucks rattled at a very early time.

Condo with great view

Overall the condo was a nice place to stay and we could sit on the lanai and watch whales and some turtles. That was a cool experience. There is an AC upstairs that worked the first night and blew cold air but the rest of the week it only blew room temperature air so we ended up not using it. We’re assuming it needed some coolant or something. The biggest issue we had was as a family of 4, only one person could get a full 5-10 minute shower in with warm water. Everyone else either had cold showers or had to wait a while for the water to heat back up.
