SPRING BREAK SPECIAL!!! Wonderful Oceanfront Condo - 1 BR/1Ba 2nd Floor

Aloha ... and Welcome to Hoyochi Nikko - Unit 209. If you are looking for a special home-away-from-home while on Maui, this is the spot for you. This wonderful gem is located oceanfront in Honokowai (between Ka'anapali and Napili) about 10 minutes from Lahaina Town.

The grounds are beautifully kept with a swimming pool, BBQ Area, and steps leading down to the ocean. The beach in front of the condo adds a wonderful dimension to your time on Maui ... its something special to be able to walk out of your condo and put your feet in the sand. This local beach spans the width of the property, but ultimately the prevailing tides dictate just how large the beach is at any given time. If the tides are running high, the beach might be missing, this is highly unpredictable and can vary greatly during all seasons, but there are many beautiful beaches within a short drive from the condo for you to enjoy as well.

Hoyochi Nikko is classified as a boutique complex ... it has only 18 units and so there are no worries with large crowds, or large distances to walk to get to the ocean, the pool or anywhere on the complex. Everything is right there for your enjoyment. Also, this unit is located on the corner of the building ... a highly sought after location for added privacy. A flight of stairs takes you from the ground level right up to your front door.

The main living area in this unit, including the kitchen, all look out over the Pacific Ocean and offer views of the islands of Moloka'i and Lana'i. The lanai (patio/balcony) is right off the main living area and makes for a wonderful extension of this unit's interior.

The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you will need to enjoy your time on Maui and to prepare your own meals should you desire. The unit also has it's own stacked washer and dryer for your use.

The bedroom offers a King-size bed, and a window air conditioner which nicely cools the bedroom. Most of our guests agree that the tradewinds keep the condo very comfortable, but in the event the trades slow down, the AC Unit in the bedroom will help provide you with a wonderful, cool night's sleep.

Frommer's Travel Guide named Hoyochi Nikko Ocean Condos as one of their highest recommended properties. Maui Revealed gives Hoyochi Nikko their prestigious Gold Bar rating for excellence.

A car is recommended for your stay with us. There is one allocated parking space, but please be aware the parking space is small and tight. A smaller vehicle or economy sized vehicle is highly recommended. Parking space cannot accommodate larger vehicles.

Walt and Kathy were top notch hosts. They provided all of the info that we needed for a pleasant stay. Maui was having high winds and the power was out for a short time. They continued to send updates about possible outages in the area. They are genuinely nice people.The condo had everything we needed including a junk drawer with scissors, twisties, extension cords, etc. We cooked every day and had all of the pans and utensils necessary. There were also grills that we saw other people using. The bed was super comfy, lots of hot water in the roomy shower, and a great air conditioner in the bedroom. The rest of the condo was kept cool from cross ventilation between windows. We loved watching all the turtles in the water and on the beach. Whales were constantly spouting a few hundred yards offshore. We even saw a mom and baby logging upside down. So precious!Okay now negatives to keep the review honest. The building next door has a balcony facing the condo's balcony. It's less than 100 feet away at the same level so I never got used to it. The condo's assigned parking spot isn't as small as it looks. We were able to fit a Chevy Trax with plenty of clearance. I wouldn't try anything bigger. FYI We watched other visitors with jeeps and SUVs trying to park in the garage. The clearance was 5'7 so we saw a roof rack touching the ceiling. Those are the only negatives. We highly recommend staying at Hoyochi Nikko!

My wife and I have visited Maui numerous times over the years and stayed in various hotels across the island; and I can confidently say this property gives them all a run for the money!! Gorgeous ocean views right from balcony

We went to Maui in February mainly to see the whales. We were hoping we could sit and relax on the balcony and still see whales and that is exactly what we were able to do during our stay. Seeing fabulous sunsets each night was an added bonus! The condo was excellently equipped with everything we needed and the hosts were very quick to respond to any questions we had. It is just a short drive to excellent beaches and snorkeling locations as well. We couldn’t really go in the ocean right in front of the condo because the surf was too high during our stay, but I think that was unusual. Overall we were extremely happy with our stay and should we ever get the chance to return to Maui, we would most likely stay here again.

Get away to Maui

This was our first time staying at this property. We usually stay at Papakea. We love the small complex and the lovely grounds. The resident manager is very responsive and takes exceptional care of the property. The only downsides for us was the noisy air conditioner in the bedroom. The street is very close by so leaving windows open at night wasn't really an option as the cars were rather noisy as well. Other than that, it was a great place to stay. Mahalo!

Quiet and Peaceful

We've stayed in Hoyochi Nikko before, and it does not disappoint. We prefer a quiet and smaller place; being just on the water and only a few units,its our favorite. Of course, we are worried if we rate too highly too many people will reserve! In any case, a perfect score. The hosts were very responsive and no issues at all.

Wonderful holiday in paradise

The description and the reality are absolutely identical. It is actually even more beautiful, as the entire complex (the sea view, the lovely grounds, the peaceful atmosphere and the very well-kept outdoor area) are a true oasis of relaxation that cannot be put into words or pictures. The facilities are perfect, the infrastructure complete. There is no reason for any criticism. Everything is well maintained and in very good condition. Walt and Kathy were at our side from start to finish and offered to respond immediately if there was anything wrong - which was not the case because everything is simply in tip-top condition.

Another wonderful visit!

This was our second stay at Kathy & Walt’s place. Communication was great. The location is perfect, the condo is just right for a couple. Well equipped with everything you need for exploring Maui & for relaxing poolside next to the ocean. The grounds are very well maintained and the onsite manager is friendly but doesn’t bother anyone. Sunsets are always amazing and it is always very quiet. We will be back! Mahalo!

West Maui Paradise

Great location midway between Lahaina and Kapalua. My husband and I saw turtles everyday just offshore at this oceanfront property. The sunsets were phenomenal! The condo is perfect for 2.

Perfect place for a beautiful and peaceful Maui vacation

The condo at Hyochi Nikko was exactly what we had hoped for after doing a year’s research to find a special place for our once in a lifetime trip to Maui. Firstly, the view was gorgeous and so relaxing as we watched the sun go down and come up over the waves as we sat in the living room or on the balcony. The photos online depicted well what it actually looks like. It’s a bit smaller inside, but we liked the coziness. I personally enjoyed the decor, especially all the original artwork! WIFI worked great, the bed was comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed for the few meals we made there. The location was fabulous as all the NW snorkeling bays were just within minutes from our condo. If a person wanted to go to the very developed Kaanapali beach area, it was only 8 mins away. At the same time, we could relax at our more peaceful, beautifully landscaped beachfront yard where we spent one afternoon watching whales breach about 1/4 a mile in front of us!! We also LOVED the quaint little strip of stores a 5 min walk away where we found the wonderful Farmer’s Market organic store that had incredible immune boosting smoothies, a salad and soup bar and six or so daily hot food items. The snorkle store (Boss Frogs) was right there as well for all your rental needs along with a great little Island hand made gift store and Bad Ass Coffee! Walt was a great owner who was always available if any issues came up. We began missing being there the minute we got home!!

This is a wonderfully located property with a private pool and lawn with chairs and beach. Ocean front and we watched whales over breakfast in the mornings. If you like a smaller community rather than a hotel resort, this is an awesome selection. Kerry was a wonderful host and the in-site property manger is available and helpful. Perfect for two people. Well supplied small kitchen/living area with beautiful ocean view and covered deck. Room air conditioner in bedroom. My wife and I have stayed in this condo many times and have never been disappointed. Whether it's your first trip to Maui or you're a seasoned veteran, this will satisfy your needs. Inside and out you will have everything you need. The location is close to many dining options, shopping, golfing, and sightseeing. One of our favorite things to do is to sit on the lanai and enjoy the view. You will definitely want to return.

.swimming and snorkeling were great. However high tides and wind caused rough water and beach washed away. Apparently it comes and goes, weather and tides dependent. Unit was small but very clean, well appointed and comfortable.

Great condo on the beach equipped with everything you need. Close to some great hikes, parks, and food. Great communication with the owners- and definitely take their advice and rent a compact car.
