This stay was fine. Parking and driving near this property was not ideal. The property and it's amenities were very crowded and the pools opened later than one would expect (mid-morning) and closed earlier than most would expect (before sunset).
Property was 22 floors high and had a partial view of the marina and sea. It was situated right next to the lift shaft, so noises occasionally heard from the lift. It would have been nice to have some more tea and coffee choices. There was also no salt and pepper or tea towel
Our room was clean and very comfortable! The post on VRBO said that you may not get the type of room pictured, but the room was nothing like the photos I tired and it was misleading. Had we been staying for our entire Hawaiian vacation I would have been very disappointed. There is plenty of shops and food options in the Hilton property and close by. Just know this will not be a quiet and relaxing trip, but so much to help entertain the family.
My only recommendation is that the picture for the property shows a balcony, and I thought I was getting one. that was me not paying attention. However, the room was lovely and despite the fact that a major strike was disrupting services at the hotel, the Hilton did their best to keep things as normal as possible. I would definitely stay there again.
Iâll start with the property. It was beautiful. The room was exactly as expected. Clean and nicely decorated. However, we were not told that the maid staff and bartenders, waiters were on strike for the last 40 days. No service out by the pool. Most bars closed. No Luau. No maid service. The staff did the best they could by placing racks of towels, toilet paper in the hall but they marched around the outside of the property from 7 am to 10 pm with bull horns yelling at the top of their lungs. Not very relaxing. Found we had to leave the property to get away from the noise. Strike is settled so everything should get back to normal but unfortunately our 50th anniversary trip is over. Very frustrating. Would I stay here again. I donât know. I contacted the property manager and he was not helpful. Said there was nothing they could do. Shame on you property manager
