Peaceful 2 Bedroom Cottage Beside an Organic Blueberry Hill in Hope.

On the side of a hill not far from the sea sits The Nest. A bright two-bedroom cottage with a furnished deck overlooking a sculpted woodland carpeted with ferns. With two bright bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, cozy dining room; private office and two baths The Nest is the perfect hideaway. Situated in a clearing on the side of wooded hill a brisk walk opens onto our 24 acres of organic working wild blueberry barrens, where you can picnic on our table or pick the berries when they are in season in late July, early August. From the peak of the barrens look west for magnificent sunsets and wide views overlooking Appleton Ridge and beyond to The White Mountains of New Hampshire. Look East for panoramic views of The Camden Hills. This location offers good hiking and mountain biking right outside the door. Discontinued dirt town roads make for adventurous snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. For those more adventurous two waterfalls await discovery and make for fun photo ops. The Nest is 3 miles to The Hope General Store, which serves great pizza even GF, spirits, sandwiches and basic necessities. 3 miles to beautiful Hobbs Pond the local “swimming hole” in the center of town. The Nest is a quick 9 miles to Camden, a 20-minute drive to Belfast and 25 mins to downtown Rockland.
