I recently stayed at Comfort Suites Stafford and had an extremely disappointing and unsafe experience that I feel compelled to share. My wife and I booked a stay from February 28 to March 3, 2025, and it was nothing short of a nightmare. Here's why:
Unsafe and Hazardous Conditions:
• The elevator was malfunctioning, with sudden drops and loud, unnerving noises. It was extremely concerning, and I didn't feel safe using it.
• The hallways smelled like a mix of rotten odors and marijuana, which was not only unpleasant but also unsanitary.
• Our assigned room had an overpowering rotten smell that seemed to have lingered for weeks, making it unbearable to stay in.
• The towels in the bathroom were dirty and had visible pubic hair on them. A second towel I checked was stained. Thankfully, my wife had brought her own towel to avoid using the hotel’s.
• The bathroom was filthy, with peeling wallpaper, dim lighting, and a broken soap dispenser.
• I noticed visible bedbugs in the room, though I wasn't able to take a photo before they scurried away.
• The sofa and carpets in the room were stained with what looked like bodily fluids. The room was completely uninhabitable due to the unsanitary conditions.
• The refrigerator leaked water, creating a slipping hazard. Unfortunately, I slipped and injured my hip as a result.
• There were loud disturbances throughout the night, and at around 1:42 AM, someone knocked on our door, leaving my wife and me feeling unsafe and unsettled.
