No restroom privacy

Amazing experience, only one downfall, the restroom. Was not at all private. Restroom was nice though. Also the hotel assumes we wanted valet parking and stated the valet was already included, like we didn't have a choice.

A beautiful hotel, tons of classic design and decadent details. The room service was absolutely amazing. The room was beautiful my wife really loved the window from the bathtub to the bed area. You can take a nice bath while also watching TV. My only minor complaint was that he TV had that horrible “motion smoothing” feature in that makes everything look like the sci-fi channel and I couldn’t find a way to turn it off. But again this was a very minor issue and didn’t really affect our stay.

Strong mold smell from 1st step into hotel. Renovations ar past due. Room layouts could be better. Space not effectively used. Valet did not offer to help take my luggage out of trunk, but offered to help the traveler who arrived immediately after me. I found that to be odd and not hospitable. Front desk staff was great.

The staff was amazing but Tia at the front desk was on another level!!! She took the time to show my 10 year old the hotel and tell him all about the history of the hotel and answered all his questions with so much patience and kindness. 5 star because of her!

Great Vibe and comfortable bed

Excellent atmosphere and location. Loved the layout of the room. Bed was comfortable. Towels could have been softer and bigger, and more of them. More convenient plugs by bed would have been nice.

The hotel it self is great. The surrounding areas as it would be expected is kinda rough. That area of downtown Houston is not the best. Overall though the hotel is good.

This is a beautifully redone historic building in downtown Houston. The details are all very well thought out and it was such a nice stay. The night life around the hotel is also a lot of fun. We will be back!
