I will never stay at this chain of hotels again (Scottish Inn & Suites). Only did because my sister booked a room here to stay for the return flight home the next day. I had an inclination to book a different hotel for my wife and me, but decided to stick with my sister and her husband. Got concerned when our Uber driver told us to be careful because this hotel chain is known for housing a lot of homeless people. Seemed the case. There were definitely some people around the property that seem to live there, including a family with kids. Older building they tried to cleanup. The room smelled full of cleaning chemicals. We had to crack the door and have to bathroom fan and hvac unit on for hours after we arrived to try to remove the smell. It was 30 degrees at the time, so heater was running with door open. Closed the door about the time it started getting dark. Mattresses were soft and lumpy. Pillows were smaller than a standard sized pillow and very uncomfortable. The breakfast was very basic, and the food tasted very processed and fake. The coffee even was terrible. The food was set up in a small lobby with a couple small tables, the room not being designed for this.

The bed was not made from previous guest . Trash can was not empty from previous guest. The bar soap from previous guest used was still by faucet in bathroom and towels were not clean. No shampoo provided at least there was an unused bar soap there. Wouldn’t recommend it.

Room was fine, check-in okay, only problem was the next morning when we were suppose to have have a ride to the airport, we were told that the van would be at least 1/2 an hour late. We had an early morning flight and weren't sure how check in would go, we ended up calling a Uber which cost us $25. One of the reason I choose Scottish In was the airport transfer.

Shuttle to the airport only came by every hour starting 10am. We were told it wouldn’t be available at 9am (the time we wanted to leave by) but would be there by 9:45am. The shuttle ran late by 20 minutes because it had to pick up guests from other hotels. The breakfast was very basic with only milk and sunny D, a couple of bananas, bread and not so great bagels. The waffle machine wasn’t working properly. The lobby only had 2 small tables fitting 2 people for breakfast. No soap for the sink area and the AC was pretty loud. The gas station next door was convenient to have since the hotel had no drinking water and only sold bottled water at $1.50.
