This home is located in a small community in the middle of the Francis Marion Forest. Enjoy the quiet of this forest community while still being close to shopping (20 min.), Isle of Palms and Sullivan's Island Beaches (30 min.), and the heart of downtown Charleston (33 min.). This home was completely remodeled and furnished with 100% new furnishings in 2017. In addition to the 1200 sq. ft. of living space, this house has a 750 sq. ft. furnished screened-in porch that runs the entire length of the house. The house includes tiled baths, hardwood floors, a gas fireplace, and a granite countertop office station equipped with a full-size computer monitor, wireless keyboard/mouse, and printer. The owners live at the back of this 8-acre property and invite tenants to come to the pond at the back of the property to watch the beautiful swans and fish in the pond full of large-mouth bass and sunfish. Tenants are welcome to fish in this pond any time using the bait and tackle the owners have available at the property. In addition, two bikes along with a car bike carrier are available. The bikes can be used to ride anywhere in the Lowcountry, including the trails of the Forest, streets of historic Charleston, and/or the beach communities of Isle of Palms, Sullivan's Island, and Folly Beach. The owners have a bamboo fence-enclosed private swimming pool that the tenants are welcome to use privately during their stay.
The pool is not heated; therefore, it is only open between May 1st and September 30th each year. This home also has a small deck off the screened-in porch where you can sit and relax, grill out on the gas grill, or enjoy a real fire in the fire pit (wood is furnished by the owner).

The home was very nice, however when we booked this place we booked it because we saw that it had a pool. Come to find out the pool is in the owners yard and you have certain times you can swim. After going to the beach for the day and going to dinner we wanted to have a night swim, but were not able to. I guess we were mislead when we read “private pool”. We would have stayed somewhere closer to the beach had we known. Overall, it was not a bad experience just a little inconvenient.

Cozy house

We really enjoyed our stay in Huger! It was nice to have a place close enough to Charleston & the beach but also away from the hustle & bustle of the city! We could venture out to go somewhere & return to relax at the end of the day. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware & made it easy for us to save money by making dinners a few of the nights. Would love to return in the fall or spring sometime to better enjoy the screened in porch. Missing the beauty of SC already!!

So relaxing!

I loved that it was away from the city. The landscaping was beautiful. You could not ask for a better more gracious host. They were so pleasant to talk to and very accommodating. The house was beautiful and the screen in porch was great to relax and talk. I highly recommend.

Cozy & Relaxing Stay

We had a great experience at the guest house. The property was sooo pretty and scenic! The veranda was perfect for dining outside and enjoying the nice weather. The cottage was Modern and clean and had a thoughtful touches to make our stay feel welcoming. Amazing Weekend Stay!

The home is quite beautiful. Got the chance to spend some time with mom on an early mother's day trip/gift. The rooms were amazingly decorative, looked picturesque yet comfortable, and the hosts were beyond accommodating. They offered so much that we didn't even have the time to experience it all! Would love to return and plan to do so in the near future. Absolutely grateful for the opportunity to stay in such a lovely location

Great retreat in Hugeeeee!

We came to Charleston for Bridge Run. So glad we found this awesome site near Mt Pleasant. The house was perfectly clean and nicely decorated. The back porch is awesome as is the Koi pond with the swans! The hosts were friendly and gracious. Everything was a piece of cake.If you’re looking for something different that is a little off the beaten path in the country, this fits the bill 100%!

Great value

Excellent location. Close proximity to Charleston, but very relaxing and peaceful. We enjoyed the place so much we stayed on the premises much more than we originally planned. The hosts were very helpful and accessible. Very clean. Look forward to coming back.

Christmas week

My wife and I stayed at the rental for a week and had a great time. This is our sixth time renting this location, it’s a home away from home. Our adult kids came down Christmas Eve and stayed through the 27th, there was plenty of room for everyone.

Great Property!

The house was nestled on a gorgeous 8 acre property, with all the space for kiddos to run and play. It was perfect distance for our baseball tournament at Shipyard (about 10-15 min) and not too far from the beach, shops and restaurants.

Lovely House and Amazing Hosts

The house was wonderful and so clean. The hosts were the best, and responded to our questions quickly. Upon arrival, our girls LOVED the welcome package (they found the candy), and the waters were nice since we hadn't made it to the store. The living room was so comfortable and perfect for our family. Our girls felt very grown up in their room, with the TV and their own sitting area. The beds were very comfortable, and the bedding was beautiful. The pool on property was so convenient for us. We will definitely be back!
