Close to Luckenbach, Johnson City, Stonewall, and Fredericksburg.
The house was perfect for a family with 3 generations celebrating Thanksgiving (ages 19-71). We watched the deer and cows from the front porch and lawn every morning and evening. The only issue was water temperature in showers being too cold. Owner is very responsive and helpful.
We had a great stay! Everyone was satisfied with the amount of cooking, eating, and drinking supplies. The house was well stocked with towels, coffee, and anything else needed during our stay. We look forward to staying again soon!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely property. The house is relatively new construction and is very comfortable with all of the modern conveniences including a spacious well-appointed kitchen. The style of the house and its location create the sense of cottage in the country, which was perfect for us. We especially enjoyed our time on the porch late in the afternoon and early in the morning. The beautiful view of the pond and the isolation from other folks emphasized the natural serenity of our stay while we enjoyed the company of deer, foxes, Roadrunner, and many other species of birds. We hope to return.
We enjoyed a wonderful get away we our friends! The weather was perfect we enjoyed two venues! Whiskey for guys and wine for the girls! We would definitely rent this house again!
Wonderful property in a great location right on Hye-Albert road. Stocked kitchen, comfy beds, awesome porch for sitting and visiting with friends. Would love to see a hot tub and a grill, but the lack of them does not detract from an excellent stay.
Open floor plan from kitchen to living room makes for a better feel and spacious. On arrival we found a nice bottle of wine chilled in the fridge for us. The house was very clean and looks like a newer build in the past 10 years. The location is the middle of the 290 wine road and gives better access to these areas. Conversely make sure to have every thing you need as the closest the stores (heb Walmart Walgreens) are in Fredericksburg 30 minutes west.
Very nice, modern and clean house. Perfect for 3 couples. We really enjoyed hanging outside and watching the view. Perfect for watching the sunrise, sunset and the stars at night. Weâre already thinking of when we can come back! Highly recommended.
We were very happy with the house! Great location and ease access. Kitchen needs more supplies- knives, plates, cooking utensils. Otherwise perfect set up!
Our group consisted of 3 couples. The 3 bedrooms were perfect with Queen beds (additional pillows would have been nice) and the 3 baths were beautifully updated. Plenty of linens for each couple. The kitchen was great but needed a few more items (dish towels, regular dinner plates not just plastic ones. And some of the cooking tools need to be replaced. Otherwise, the kitchen had everything you need. We loved the rocking chairs on the front porch and sitting out at night looking at the stars. The only other thing that wouldâve made it even better would have been having some blankets, we found a couple to share. The living room furniture was dated and not overly comfortable but fortunately they had additional chairs in the bedrooms that accommodated our group of six. Overall we loved our stay and I would highly recommend.
This is an awesome location and place to stay. We didn't spend much time in the house with all the things to do in the area, but the time we were there was pleasant. Morning coffee on the porch was worth the price of admission!
The property was beautiful. The home was very nice and accommodating to the needs for 3 couples. The mattresses were on the harder side (we prefer softer) but this is just a preference and definitely not something that would make this house any less fantastic than what it was. I saw on another review of this property that there was not enough living room seating for 3 couples, which I would have to agree with. But again, not a deal breaker. Now if these items were upgraded, I could without a doubt say this property was exceptional. My husband and I also enjoyed seeing the deer on the property. Thank you to the owners of this beautiful property for sharing this little piece of paradise with us.
The gated property is beautiful and secluded. Perfect location between Johnson City and Fredericksburg. Everything you need is available in the home. My only suggestion is that the living room furniture be updated. It is pretty, but not so sturdy.
Went out with friends to do tastings in the area. Visited a few bars in the area and listened to some local talent. Enjoyed the evenings on the porch and doing some star gazing.
