They have changed the method for the $40 deposit. It used to just have your card on file and now they're taking $40. I have yet to receive my $40 back. Expect to do so soon otherwise things will turn bad.
This property has decided to use a virtual check-in service which essentially employs an overseas call center. This was the worst experience I have ever had checking into a hotel. The background noise in the call center was ridiculous, and what should’ve been a five minute check-in process turned into at least half an hour. Same with checking out. Two seconds turned into over 10 minutes. I don’t understand why would be that difficult to just staff a person, a real actual Person rather than go through this route.
I would even overlook the fact that the property is clearly experiencing some construction/damage on the exterior if it wasn’t for that check-in service issue
Strange to be checked in by a virtual person on a computer screen. the bed was not comfortable, the parking lot was torn up with digging equipment, there was not a sign to go around to check in or find the lobby. Over all I was not impressed

Some type of water issue was going on. Couldn’t access lobby very well.
If I had a complaint, it would be the room was small, but we were only staying one night so it really wasn't a problem

I had not stayed at an Econo-lodge property for years. I was pleasantly surprised by the room features. Quiet, convenient, and easy to get in and out of. Fast food a one-minutes walk away. I prefer rooms without carpeting, simple amenities, and reasonable prices.
I would stay again.
It was extremely frustrating to check-in. There is no front desk person; you have to check-in with a woman on a small screen who struggles to speak clear English. I was issued a key to my room, and after driving around the building, parking, and carrying my bags in, the key didn't work. I went back to stand in line to get another key. The second key didn't work. When I went back the third time, there were several disgruntled customers with the check-in process. It was a bit of a nightmare.
