I had such a relaxing, blissful stay at the Ilfracombe Carlton Hotel and will definitely stay there if I visit Ilfracombe again. The staff were eager to help and make my stay enjoyable. The room was well provided with facilities, and was smart, comfortable and clean. The lounge was stylish yet comfortable. The hotel's facilities were excellent - a restaurant serving delicious food, a gym and a great library with lots of books, local OS maps to borrow, and draughts board. The breakfasts were superb with many hot options to choose from as well as a range of cereals, fruit salad, yoghurt and toast. The proprietor is mad about theatrical musicals and there are posters of West End productions all over the walls which adds an element of fun. There's a bus stop just yards from the hotel, and the hotel is next to the entrance to the Tunnels Beaches (one of the main tourist attractions) and a couple of minutes walk from the museum (which is wonderful) and the sea front. All in all, I had a fantastis stay.

We have had an amazing stay at The Carlton. Property very clean and all amenities were excellent. Breakfast and evening meals excellent. We will certainly stay here again, and we will prebook the table for evening meals. Chef catered for all of my specific requirements. Cannot recommend highly enough, thank you Michael and all of your team.

The room we had was lovely and spacious, newly refurbished. Excellent shower room. Breakfast was really good and all staff we seen were very friendly. We were attending a wedding in The Tunnels venue so it was very convenient.
