***Due to the ongoing issues with Mexico's water treatment pumps, the ocean is not guaranteed to be open at this time.. They do test the bacteria levels daily, but the majority of the year the Ocean has been closed from the Border, past Imperial Beach up to Coronado Beach. If swimming in the ocean is a major amenity I would not stay in these areas, until further notice.***

Beach Club

The beach club is a three story private, gated complex. The Beach Club is a U-shaped building that is located on the sand, no busy street or boardwalk separating you from the beach. It has its own heated pool, Jacuzzi hot tub, and barbecue facilities in the spacious garden atrium.

Unit #113 is a first floor unit that offers you a northwest view of the water, You'll relax to the soothing sound of the ocean waves. You'll have your own oceanview patio.

Steps from the beach

We were in SAN to visit family in south San Diego and the location was perfect. The apartment has several quirks and unrepaired items. Some of these repairs would be easy to do and others would require more of a commitment. The nonfunctioning items put a damper on our stay. We did have a significant plumbing problem that the management company took care of pronto and for that we were grateful. Imperial Beach seems like a fun neighborhood and reminds me of what Santa Cruz looked like 25 years ago. If you are traveling with a group of young men who like to hang out on the beach and visit the neighborhood watering holes this spot is for you !

Clean and Convenient!

We stayed six nights. The property was clean and more than adequate for your needs. The kitchen was well stocked, although we didn’t use it. We used the pool once. It was great. I had one question, which was answered promptly.

You get what you pay for!

There was some really good points about this condo! The condo itself was super clean and well maintained! The management company sent a ton of communication and check in and check out was a breeze. The facility manager on-site was the kindest guy. He takes a lot of pride in maintaining the plants and the flower beds show it! The cons- this place really doesn’t accommodate 7 people. I have never stayed at a rental that counts the couches or an air mattress as part of the occupancy. It wasn’t a big deal for our kids to sleep on the couches, but if you have all adults, be aware. The main building needs some updating. I’m the pool area, there’s a larger fountain that looks like it has been broken for some time, caution tape on the pool stairs, and what once was beach access is boarded off. I picked this place because it was beach front, but the reviews that say you can’t swim in the water because of contamination are true. Right on the beach are signs stating you could get sick if you go in the water. The last thing you should know about this place is there’s a couple of homeless men that live right outside the condos patio. Although there were some great people who try their hardest to make this a nice place to stay, there’s too many other things getting in the way of making this a place I would come back to!

Lots of fun

We had a really nice time here. It is very close to the beach which was great for us. We scoped out the whole San Diego area and were very pleased with this area. It is a little less crowded than the other areas and a really laid back chill vibe in this neighborhood. The unit did not have any rugs/window treatments and seemed a little bare, but honestly I thought it was great because it was VERY clean! Always my preference to have cleanliness over top of design/coziness. The beds were surprisingly comfortable too! Great trip! Thanks for the great stay!

Not a good experience

On the plus side manager Pam was very helpful in communicating with us. On the minus side found hair/dirt on the master bed from the previous occupant, sofas were scuffed/stained (looked like Goodwill stuff), no drapes in both bedrooms (too much light and unable to sleep) and noisy upstairs neighbors on the last night of stay. Great beach location but looks like owners have not made any improvements. Definitely would not syat here again.

Family vacation

We took a family vacation for my nephew's 12th birthday this year because he wanted to go to the beach. The view from the balcony was amazing! I also brought my dog who is medium size (50 lbs). There was a lot nearby within walking distance. I walked to the park with my dog every morning around 5am or 6am and always felt safe on my own.

Girls weekend IB

We had a great time, everyone enjoyed the fact that we could sit outside on the patio at anytime of day because it stayed shaded and had views of the beach. Everyone relaxed and had a good time. Seven of us fit comfortably. Hope to make it back soon. Thank you.
