Newly remodeled adorable, comfortable family home available when the owners aren't home. We invite Independence family and friends that are coming home for any event to utilize our space for comfort. We know having to rent more than one hotel room, sharing one bathroom with your kids, and lack of space can make coming home not a lot of fun. One owner grew up in Independence and lived there for 35 years. Even though many of us migrate away from our adorable town, we come back to see family and friends. Spend your visits here pleasantly.

Also, to enjoy the 4th of July, town events, and the historical downtown shopping - because if you grew up here this feels like home. Others come just to shop and enjoy the small town, safe feeling our wonderful community offers.

The house is a Brick Ranch with an adorable front porch with rockers, a back deck, a full basement that includes a 3rd bedroom, 2nd bathroom and large family gathering areas. Bring the kids, enjoy the downstairs projector and X-Box. Basement includes one two seater table and a full size oak table for games & puzzles. The basement couch is perfect when playing X-box and for extra family space. Two twin beds with an LED lighted table offer great space for the kids to sleep and plug in their devices, the downstairs bathroom is close by for their convenience and showering.

The upstairs kitchen is fully stocked and newly remodeled, including an inviting coffee bar! Some Keurig pods will be provided prior to your arrival, and bring your favorite pods and enjoy the Brita water purifier. The dining room offers wine glasses and a counter height marble table with 6 stools.

The living room is a cozy heaven, with a Chenille sectional and 2 person swivel chair that you may not want to get out of. Can seat the whole family in the living/dining great room area. Enjoy local cable and wireless Internet and stream your favorite shows on the 75 inch new smart TV. Both upstairs bedrooms are beautifully appointed with new covered Denver Mattresses, comfortable bedding, Smart Tv's, lots of storage and privacy.

The upstairs bathroom is all newly remodeled, offers a nice lighted mirrored cabinet and storage for your toiletries, includes a blow dryer. Trial size Shampoo included.

The basement also has a brand new washer and dryer and some laundry supplies. The back yard is completely fenced for approved dogs (approval required by breed, no larger than 20 lbs, and please keep them off the living room furniture). Must remove all waste. Due to this, front entrance is the door for coming and going. Use the back door and fully fenced yard for enjoying your time outdoors. Puppies are safe also.

We have a property manager and host who makes sure the cleaning and maintenance is handled between visits. Check out the rules for details, and also lots of information about where to eat, shop and enjoy Independence.

Enjoy shopping historical downtown - our manual offers a list of the great shops and salons that are local. Get your groceries from Fareway (best meat counter by far), Walmart or Dollar Fresh. We have 3 great pharmacies and as the county seat - a well appointed hospital and strong local services.

The beautiful trees on the southside are visible throughout the neighborhood. Just one block from the river, kitty corner from the park with a full basketball court, tennis courts, new playground equipment, a Ramada for get togethers, and lots of space for the kids to play - this is an amazing location. Enjoy our "Rockefeller" size Christmas Pine tree in the front yard. Landscaping upgrade is almost complete, just more plants to come next year.
