Snickarboden – Cozy farmhouse living room near the woods and the lake

Welcome to Snickarboden, our cozy farmstay just south of Växjö.

A calm, nature-close hideaway by forest, fields, and water. Enjoy your morning coffee in the kitchen armchair, lift the blinds, and watch the farm slowly wake up around you.

This space was created with love, and we hope you’ll feel it the moment you arrive.

Snickarboden is located in an old grain storehouse, and the building now holds two apartments, both available to rent. When you enter through the front door, you step straight into the living room, where you’ll find a dining area, a 140 cm sofa bed, and a 90 cm armchair bed. Immediately to the left is the bathroom and laundry room, equipped with both a washing machine and a dryer.

Continue through the living room and you’ll reach the kitchen, which also has a comfortable armchair where you can relax with a cup of coffee. To the right are the doors leading out to the patio, and to the left is the entrance to the bedroom.

The bedroom features a 160 cm bed, clothes hanging space, and a wooden bench.

The patio includes a grill and outdoor seating, giving you a great view of daily life on the farm. If you prefer a more private barbecue experience, the grill area down by the lake is the perfect spot.

You’ll have the entire apartment to yourselves, with one additional unit in the same building. The house is set next to an active farm, so you’ll experience the peaceful rhythm of countryside life during your stay.

You’ll also have access to two lakeside docks:

The north dock, which belongs to the farm, features a large picnic table — perfect for outdoor meals with a view.
The south dock, belonging to the village, offers a longer pier with a swim ladder and a small sandy shoreline. There’s also a grill area here where you can cook delicious meals and enjoy time together by the water.
