Nestled among a deer farm and elevated overlooking the river, this charming eco-friendly holiday accommodation is not for the faint-hearted. Guests are encouraged to switch off completely and experience a truly unique property with solar power operating only, ensuring you are fully off the grid.

The River Retreat is situated on the outskirts of Inglewood, just a five-minute drive from specialty shops, restaurants, cafes, and the local supermarket for basic supplies. The charming rural town of Inglewood nestles amidst the almost fluorescent greenness of the Taranaki pastureland, just below the forested fringe of Te Papa-Kura-o-Taranaki. The Visitors Centre is a 10-minute drive away for keen trampers, and New Plymouth is only a 15-minute drive away. Bookings which exceed 10 days will incur an extra mid-term cleaning and linen fee at cost to the guest every seven days.
