Our working farm, home to many animals, offers you every opportunity for a varied stay in the Chiemgau Alps. In the spirit of health-promoting, low-radiation indoor design, we have chosen not to install Wi-Fi.
In the summer, we’re the starting point for beautiful hikes, mountain tours, and bike rides through unspoiled nature. In winter, the cross-country ski trail runs right past our house.
Enjoy the breathtaking panoramic view from a lounge chair on the balcony of your vacation apartment. From a distance, you can faintly hear the bells of the cows grazing peacefully.

Our cozy “Schlüsselblume” vacation apartment accommodates 2–4 people • Balcony with a wonderful view of the mountains, Inzell, and the nature reserve • High-quality amenities • Large closet • Kitchen with dishwasher, oven, electric kettle, toaster, and coffee maker • Walk-in shower, toilet, and hair dryer • Towels, dish towels, and bed linens are provided and changed as needed • Flat-screen TV (cable) • Vintage radio with CD player • Allergy-friendly—therefore, no pets allowed • Bread roll delivery service • Travel crib / high chair available upon request

In the south of the Chiemgau region, where the Chiemgau Alps rise to 1,960 meters, there is a magnificent mountain landscape to discover. Here you can breathe in the crisp alpine air, listen to the rushing waters of the mountain streams, or let your gaze wander over the vast landscape from one of the scenic peaks. Wonderful mountain hikes, stops at alpine pastures, mountain biking, Nordic walking, inline skating, horseback riding, tennis, golf in the neighboring town, paragliding, fishing, swimming in a natural lake, or simply taking a stroll in the fresh air and beautiful countryside.
The Buchschlögl estate is a very old and beautiful property that was first mentioned in historical records as early as 1490. The farm’s name likely derives from its first owner, Christian Buchschlögl. The surname Scheurl first appeared in 1835. Since 1897, the firstborn son has consistently been named “Isidor,” a tradition that continues to this day. Saint Isidor is the patron saint of farmers. In 1967, our parents rebuilt the Buchschlöglhof, including the barn; among other things, they added guest rooms. In 1991, Isidor and Mathilde Scheurl took over the estate with their children Isidor, Katrin, and Christian. Since 2023, the farm has been run by us, Dori and Theresa, along with our children Xaver, Hannes, and Luisa. Through ongoing renovations, we transformed the property from the original guest rooms into four vacation apartments. We expanded the agricultural operations by purchasing additional milk quotas.
