Amara Cay is absolutely beautiful. The staff is friendly and accommodating. From the welcoming drink to checkout was perfect. Some of the best food and cocktails I’ve had at a resort. Shuttle service will take you wherever you want to go outside the resort.

The property and pools were beautiful, but it all went down hill when we entered our room. Musty, moldy smell and old bathroom. We opened the patio door for fresh air only to get bombarded with pot smoke. TV did not work and needed to be reprogrammed. We asked for more coffee and never received it. Not at all what we expected. The pictures online are not a true reflection.

I stayed for one night with my two teenage kids amd wanted some peace. We had originally booked the weekend prior but the hotel would not change our check in date. We were told upon check in that the hotel felt badly about the rigidity surrounding the booking and would upgrade us for free. The room we were placed in was worn and had a faint unpleasant odor. We went out for dinner and came back to crash in our room as we were not checked in until well after the stated 4pm check in availability. We woke in the early AM to a flooding toilet overflowing with feces to the point where it had risen
