The staff was incredible at Port Charlotte and made our stay a real treat. Thanks to Lorna, David and everyone else! We would definitely love to stay another time.
My first visit to the Island and staying at the PC Hotel made it all the more pleasant. Staff were very nice and helpful at all times. looking forward to my next visit.
Overall a great hotel where to the good outweighs the negatives. Goods - Food at the restaurant is great, Staff was helpful and friendly and the views were awe inspiring. The not so good, the price at the restaurant was high, the room was very small. Over I would say again.
What an absolutely lovely property in a fantastic location run by wonderful people. Our slightly late arrival was happily accommodated and our sea view room was well appointed and cosy.
Breakfast was delicious and quick. The scrambled eggs with smoked salmon were great and French press coffee is always a nice touch.
Dinner was excellent, but make sure you book early! At least a day in advance. I had the halibut as well as the tomato bisque and my wife had the venison and they were perfectly cooked and all accompaniments were well paired.
The bar has some great local beers on tap but the whisky selection is absolutely top notch and the bartenders are very knowledgeable.
All of the staff were friendly, welcoming, and clearly hard working. My wife and I will certainly be returning to Islay in the next couple years and will absolutely stay at the Port Charlotte Hotel again. Thank you to everyone for making our stay so special!
Lovely hotel near two wonderful distilleries and the Museum of Islay Life. Most people could walk to Bruichladdich but Kilchoman is too far and you'll need a taxi.
Great 2 night stay at this charming property. Friendly staff and the room was nice, though finishes were slightly dated (to be expected). Great views, excellent food and neat bar/lounge. Iâd definitely stay here again!
