Coastal Cottage 214 is one side of a charming duplex and is the perfect combination of beachside living and ocean views! Located on the ocean side of South Fletcher Avenue, you're just one house back from the beach with direct access to the ocean right next to the property. Enjoy the sea breeze from the ocean view deck, which is equipped with a gas grill, a 4-person outdoor dining table, and 4 Adirondack chairs.

This beautiful beach-side home offers an open floor plan living area and kitchen that are perfect for entertaining. The living room has a sofa, an armchair, and a TV with cable & streaming capabilities. Dog-friendly for up to two dogs! We have a 50-pound weight limit per dog and all dogs must be approved prior to check-in. The pet fee is $250.

The other side of the duplex has the same layout and is also available to rent. There is a connecting door between the two sides that can be unlocked if both sides are rented by one group.

Neighborhood Overview:

Coastal Cottage 214 is ideally located on the north end of the island. It is within walking distance of Main Beach, Fort Clinch State Park, and the Egan’s Creek Greenway. It is also a quick drive to all the island's best dining and shopping in the downtown historic district.

A few blocks to the north, you will find Main Beach which features the Salt Life and Sandbar Kitchen restaurants, a playground, and beachside putt putt golf. From there, Amelia Island's downtown historic district is just a short drive down Atlantic Avenue. There you will find plenty of wonderful restaurants, shopping, nightlife, and local culture. Fort Clinch State Park is also located along Atlantic Avenue. The park features the 19th century Fort Clinch (still open to the public for tours), a great beach, and lots of beautiful trails for hiking or biking.

The South end of the island boasts several wonderful restaurants, the Ritz and Omni resorts, a picturesque canopy biking trail, and charming local boutiques. We recommend checking out the Ritz spa if you are looking for a relaxing treat!

Getting Around:

Amelia Island is a small area and is easy to navigate! There is free parking available throughout the entire island, making driving very easy to any place you choose to visit.

Although Uber/Lyft are not very reliable on the island (we strongly recommend bringing a car), they are available through the app on your smartphone.

Bike rentals are available at "The Beach Store" located 2 miles south of Coastal Cottage 214. Riptide Watersports also delivers bikes.

• Check-in: After 4:00 PM – Please do not arrive prior to the check in time without prior approval.
• Checkout: 10:00 AM
• Self check-in with coded lock box
• No smoking or drug use on the property
• Only registered guests staying at the property are allowed on the premises - Max. 4 guests
• No parties, weddings or events of any kind
• Pets: Dogs under 30 pounds are allowed with prior approval from management (no dogs that shed allowed) - $250 pet fee
• There is a lockbox outside the second door. To lock the box you re-enter the code and then pull down on the button at the top and close the box. This box should remain closed at all times. There are 2 keys on rings inside the unit for your use. Please leave the keys in the lockbox and use these keys during your stay. If all 3 sets of keys are not left in the places you found them at check out, you will be charged $200.

Check In: Check-in is 4:00pm.
We do our best to have your accommodations available by this time. Peak times and holidays are especially difficult, so please understand we are working hard to have your unit available as soon as possible. We cannot make refunds for a delayed check-in time. Please do not arrive to the property early if not approved. Our cleaners are working hard to get it ready for your arrival.

Check-Out: Check-out time is scheduled by 10:00am. Late check-outs must be pre-approved, are not guaranteed, and may incur an extra fee. There is a tight cleaning schedule between guests. If you overstay your check-out time you will incur a fee of $75/hour.

Check-Out Procedure: We ask that you leave the premises in the same general condition as it was found. Please do the following upon check-out:
1) Bag your garbage and recycling and take it to the blue (trash) or yellow (recycling) bins on the side of the house.
2) Leave all sheets and other bedding on its assigned bed. Place dirty towels in a neat pile on the bathroom floors.
3) Wash dirty dishes or place in dishwasher and start the wash cycle. Do not leave dirty dishes in unit.
4) Leave all furniture arranged as originally found.
5) Check all drawers and closets for personal items. Disconnect from any streaming accounts.
6) Clean out all refrigerators and freezers.
7) Lock all windows and doors. CLOSE ALL BLINDS.
8) Set thermostat to a seasonably appropriate temperature and leave ceiling fans running.
9) Lock all doors behind you. Return keys to lockbox.

Property inspections will be made after check-out. There will be a charge if the above procedures are not followed or any damage is found.

Furnishings: Basic equipment and furnishings for a comfortable vacation are provided. If you move furniture while occupying the property, you must return furniture to its original position prior to departure. Do not remove furniture (including patio furniture) from the property.

Property Descriptions: Rates, descriptions, bed sizes, inventories, and furnishings are subject to change without notice. Neither the rental agent nor the owner will be obligated to provide replacements or give refunds for failure or absence of any items.

Linens/Towels & Supplies: A limited number of bath, beach, and kitchen towels are provided. With the exception of beach towels (returned to unit upon use), no towels are to be removed from the unit. A starter supply of paper products and soap will be supplied in your unit. You will be responsible for additional supplies during your stay.

Maximum Occupancy: The MAXIMUM number of overnight guests is determined based on the unit size and is listed in the listing details. At any time, no more than the listed maximum number of guests may be in the home unless prior approval is provided. Additional charges may apply.

Age Requirement: The person reserving the unit must be a minimum of 25 years of age and must occupy the property the entire length of the reservation.

Events: Guests are not permitted to hold events at the house. An event is defined as any gathering of people over the maximum occupancy of the unit(s) you are renting. If a guest is found to have held an unauthorized event at the property as defined above, they are subject to immediate eviction with no refund and/or fines for the damage or use of the property for such event.

Decor and Personal Items: Tents, canopies, blow-up pools, or any similar items are not allowed to be setup anywhere on the property or decks. No decor, banners or signs are allowed to be taped or hung anywhere on the property inside or outside. If anything is hung from the walls or windows and there is damage caused from doing so, you will be responsible for the cost of the repairs.

Illegal Substances: No illegal substances are permitted on the property.

Cleaning: If extraordinary cleaning is required, the cost will be charged to the guest card on file. Cleaning fees are charged for all rentals. You are responsible for the cleaning of your unit during your stay and for leaving the unit in good condition at checkout. Additional cleaning is $75 per hour.

Parking: You are allowed to park in the designated parking areas on the property. The number of cars is dependent on the property and is in the listing details. DO NOT PARK ON ANY LANDSCAPING or grass.

The property is a duplex. We stayed in the 214 side. It was absolutely perfect for my husband & I! My husband is an avid fisherman & he thoroughly enjoyed surf fishing on the beach 🎣

Loved our cottage
My husband, 13 year old son, and 2 doggies loved this cottage. It was really clean, had a great huge private deck, had everything we needed in kitchen and bath, and was right there just steps to the beach. Loved that our doggies could be on the beach too. There were not so many people on the beach that we felt cramped. It was very open from one side of the beach to the other so our doggies were having a real big time. It was so nice to be able to sit on the gated deck with my doggies and see the sunrise over the ocean. Sheets and towels smelled nice and were clean. Bed linens/comforters did not seem to be old and used over and over again which is always really nice. There were 2 box fans in the closet. That was nice for added breeze and noise for sleeping. The cottage is just as pictured. Super cute and beach cozy. We were in walking distance from Salt Life restaurant. It had outdoor seating so doggies could come with us, the food was delicious(I had spicy ahi tuna bowl), and they had live music. The outdoor seating area had the best atmosphere with lounging by a gas fire table. I could have sat out there for hours enjoying a drink, my doggies, and my family. I am very happy with our choice to stay here. We had the best time and would definitely see if this cottage is available for another visit. There is a joining cottage that also sleeps 4 that we will try to get as well next time. That way we can bring more family with us. Five stars for our cottage.

Great little property. We enjoyed the location and the views. Fabulous deck. Beds were very comfortable and we took note of the nice feel of the sheets. Guest bedroom has no tv, certainly not the worst thing but a nice convenience at night when lounging in bedroom quietly. The bathroom was very updated but very tight. It might need a new water heater as it took a long time for water to heat. A very clean place and enjoyed it very much. A very good experience overall.

Perfect location with an great deck!
This home was perfect for a getaway for me and my husband. We stayed for 5 nights. The home was clean and comfortable with plenty of space, and the kitchen was well equipped. The location right next to the beach access was very convenient. The deck was perfect for morning coffee and evening drinks, and ended up being a great place to hang out on our first day when the remnants of a hurricane made it too windy to sit on the beach. We loved the proximity to all the great bars, restaurants, and stores in town. Only 10 minutes to basically anything you want or need!

Perfect Private Beach Stay
We stayed 4 nights at this great spot with our Jack Russell dog. The house was great - 2 very good sizes bedrooms and decorated so you really felt at the beach. Best part of the house is the giant deck looking right at the ocean. It is all fenced in so our dog could hang outside with us! The beach access is very close but on the other side of the duplex so there was no foot traffic we could see. Very private. Just a couple hundred steps up the beach you can walk to The Sand Bar restaurant and sit right on the beach. Dog friendly and the fish and chips was amazing. Also just a short Uber ride to downtown for hundreds more shops, bars and restaurants. Communication was great with the property managers and our stay was great. One tip- make sure to bring a beach umbrella. You need it for shade on the deck. We were lucky to use one someone left behind.

Ocean side- would stay again
We would stay here again. I wish there had been an earlier check-in option but in my experience it’s 50/50 with places allowing it so I wouldn’t rate this property lower for that. I would recommend adding a fan option in the bedrooms, we were hot trying to sleep even with AC running - also not a negative impact on our stay overall, we did choose to go to FL in late August so expected to be warm. My last recommendation is to add a full length mirror to the property. Most women myself included would appreciate being able to check our outfits and swimsuits fully before heading out. Place was clean & beach towels provided was a nice touch. Again, we will probably return, these comments are minor in nature & solely to offer potential improvements. 5 out of 5 stars were given. Thanks!
