This property is not properly represented in the photos displayed on Travelocity site or on the hotel's Facebook page. Our room was not clean, the furniture has stains on the arm rests, the tub was very disgusting and had paint flaking off of the bottom of the tub and tile walls, the hotel room door was bowed at the bottom and would not shut properly, Trash was in the bottom of the tub as well and the sheets on beds were wrinkled as if someone had visited before us. Floors were scuffed up as well. The overall vibe of the place was sketchy as well. Do not be fooled by the images you see of this place online. In person it does not hold up. Basically dirty, unsafe hotel. If you rent through this through travelocity you can get no refund once you show up and want to cancel reservation due to conditions. So beware. We could not get our money back at this point. We did not know anything about the area upon our arrival and were very disappointed. We left because we would not spend one night in this place. Better options are in the area for your stay. All of the positive reviews you see do not align with reality. Renter beware!

Great stay.

Room was clean. Breakfast was good. Pool and hot tub were great. Beach is a 2 minute walk. Area was safe and quiet. Price was cheap. We will stay again next year.

Needs demolition

Only rated 4 stars so they didn’t review gate me. The place is an old motel with no frills. Staff obviously trying to keep it clean but our floors were not barefoot ready, socks only. Room was musty and I felt bad bringing my wife there for a little savings. But hey it was just one night. Bed was clean and soft so we did sleep well. Attached to a great pizza place well known in Jacksonville. As advertised it’s close to the ocean so that’s a perk for some. Windows need replacing, doors have 30 years of paint cracking off. I mean, this place is ready for demolition.

When we got to our room, the tv had no picture and the heater didn’t work, we were given another room that was in good condition. The rest of the stay was good. The people in the lobby were mostly kind and friendly, the maintenance man was super helpful. Even carried our luggage to the new room

The location of property to the beach was great. Two blocks and you are there. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The pool waspl warm and the hot tub was nice. The rooms are old and need updating. It seems like all the guests were in the same area, back behind the hotel. It was noisy in the morning when people were leaving.

So starting out bad, if you ride around the building, you'll see half of the building caution taped off because it's falling apart. Around these parts it's normal for your meal to cost $50 . You're better off getting fast food. The smell in this town is terrible. Constant smell of sewage, not sure what it's from. Sand is very coarse. Room smelled like mildew. The staff were nice, the pool was heated, Jacuzzi was amazing, Family friendly hotel.

Horrible stay

do not stay here! The room is disgusting and the bed was horrible. The building is literally falling apart. I wish I had listened to the reviews and cancelled my stay. The building condition is unsafe , the top floor looked like it was gonna fall down on us. They take a $50 deposit and never could give us a clear answer of when we would get that back. We were told after housekeeping checked the room. We literally left it cleaner then we found it as I sprayed Lysol and cleaned everything with Lysol wipes. Thankfully I had brought our own sheets and bedspread from home because we had to use their sheet to cover up the disgusting stained up chair that we didn't want to look at. The desk chair was also stained up with God knows what. Please listen to me and don't stay there.
