My trip started out very bad! The driver the hotel was supposed to pick me up at the airport was a no show! I had to hire a Uber to take me there! When I arrived at the hotel I checked in and went to my room! The door was not locked and was open! I went in and the room is outdated and not very clean! When I tried using the safe it didn’t work! The front desk gave me keys for the safe instead! I was determined to change hotels the next day! But after meeting with the staff of the hotel they could not have been nicer!! I stayed because of the employees and everything they did to make my stay a good one! Besides I was in Costa Rica I was not going to be in my room much!! I want to express my thanks to Jorge and his brother!! Jorge helped me set up my adventures and helped me book my Covid test! His brother works the beach and is always smiling and helpful!! I would not have enjoyed my stay without them making my stay pleasant!!

Nice hotel right on the beach.
Location:Beach and location. Good restaurant there as well.
Nice hotel right on the beach (as close as you can get in Jaco) and you can hear the ocean. Has a TV but I do not recall a coffee maker. Not the newest but a good bargain.

Close to beach & town
Staff friendly hotel room very small bed uncomfortable no frig,hair dryer,shampoo.very minimal.Buffet breakfast good!

Pros:Location and pool.
Cons:Water pressure.
Location:Plenty of places to eat and drinks.
Great location across from the beach and walking distance to strip of bars, stores and food. Rooms are ok. We had to switch our room because the water pressure was so low, and eventually there was no water at all.
Nice pool and staff.
Spend the day at the beach and work on your tan with sun loungers (chaise longues) or relax in the shade with umbrellas. After a day at the beach, enjoy amenities at Balcon del Mar Beach Front Hotel like an outdoor pool and a children's pool. Free breakfast is available. Along with a restaurant and a coffee shop/cafe, there's a snack bar/deli on site. You can enjoy a drink at one of the bars, which include a poolside bar and a bar/lounge. WiFi is free in public spaces. This beach hotel also offers a garden and a terrace. Free self parking is available. This 3-star Jaco hotel is smoke free.
